Beetlejuice 2 behind the scenes pictures
It looks like someone said his name three times because he's back... I'm sure that most of you know by now that next year we are getting the sequel to the classic 80s movie Beetlejuice, and while we will have to wait over a year before the movie hits theaters, someone has posted a bunch of behind the scenes pictures taken on the set of Beetlejuice 2 to give us a sneak peak of what's to come.
The pictures were taken before the current Hollywood strike, and show the movie locations as well as a few other interesting things, and it looks like the movie takes place during Halloween, as the whole town is amazingly decorated to celebrate the holiday.
If you want to check out the pictures for yourself, you can click the link below, and make sure to scroll down the whole page as there are some great pictures that I'm sure will put a smile on your face.

So looking forward to this!
All you that doth my grave pass by,
As you are now so once was I,

The village set looks awesome! I wish our own little town would decorate like this.
I hope the movie is good, I'm starting to think in my head what the plot will be about.
Great to see Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder are back. I like it when they bring back as many of the original actors as possible.
I didn't see the Jack Skellington head, which image is it? Having a nice call back to Nightmare before Christmas is nice in a Tim Burton film though.

Re: Beetlejuice 2 behind the scenes pictures
I heard that Catherine O'Hara is back as the mother as well. The plot has already leaked online, but I didn't read it because I don't want the movie spoiled before we watch it.
If you're interested in Tim Burton NBC Easter eggs, There are scenes in Edward Scissorhands that show very early designs of what would eventually become Jack and Oogie Boogie, it's abstract but you can tell who they are supposed to be, and this was 3 years before NBC was released.
I've posted the Jack image for you below.

Re: Beetlejuice 2 behind the scenes pictures
Looks like this movie comes out in September on the 6th. Anyone going to go to the theaters to watch it?
I'm surprised they aren't having it a little closer to Halloween, but it looks like a good movie to kick off spooky season with.
The first one was really good, and I've seen it several times. The last time was at the Hull's Drive inn horror marathon "Horrorfest" that I talked about in another thread.
I never considered Beetlejuice all that scary, but it's very gothic in nature. It deals with themes of death in a dark humor sort of way. And it definitely has the magic of Tim Burton behind it.
I might consider going to see this one. It's definitely been a good year for movies!

I probably won't go to the theater for it, but I might try to catch it if it comes out on DVD. From early photos it looked as if they're trying to do it right. So much depends on the script.

Re: Beetlejuice 2 behind the scenes pictures
Some people prefer to wait until it comes out on DVD, but I guess for me it depends on how excited I am for the movie to come out.
I'm pretty excited. I enjoyed the first film and after watching the trailer, we're definitely planning on going.
Here's the trailers if anyone is interested:

Good ol' Micheal Keaton surely won't disappoint!

Re: Beetlejuice 2 behind the scenes pictures
It's out on the 6th, but we will be going to the theater on the 4th because we have advance passes.
The trailers have been out for months, and I don't know how I feel about this movie.
The reason that I say that is because everything I've seen about this movie from the early pictures to the trailers looks beautiful, and that's why I expect it to suck. In the old days they would give you some idea about the movie from the trailer without spoiling the movie, but now they put the best stuff in the trailers and ruin the movie for everybody, and it's usually because they know the movie sucks so they use the best scenes to get people to the theater.
With that said, we will still go watch it, but I'm not expecting anything much from it.

Well, it's tough for sequels to live up to the original. I'll be interested to hear your review.

Wow, how do you get advance passes? That's pretty cool. I know some friends who got advance passes to see Sonic 2 when that came out.
I think going Friday the 13th would be fun, a nice way to celebrate "Little Halloween."
