Thanks for the reminder!! Just for that, I am going to grill up a hamburger outside on the grill, AND screen the remake of "Halloween," as feature 1, and "Abbot and Costello Meet Frankenstein" as feature number 2. It's been a while since I screened that one.

Well, it's May 3rd now. We passed the half-way point. Now it's time to start buying fireworks, for the 4th of July AND for Halloween. That's right. I light off orange and black smoke bombs on Halloween.

I can't believe "Svengoolie" is still on tv some where! Does he still get pelted with rubber chickens? Do they still chant "Berwyn????" What about "narf narf?" That was a Friday night standard when I was a kid. I watched Svengoolie on "Screaming Yellow Theater" on WFLD Channel 32 in Chicago.

Murf, I'm so glad you're back. Internet can be problematic some times as can all digital systems. That's why I love my phonograph records so much.

Yes Mike, it's still on Saturday night at 8:00pm, look for it on MeTV. It's one of those nostalgia-centric stations that are usually over the air with an antenna, but some cable networks carry it.

And yes Rubber Chickens are part of the show and the main one is named Berwyn!

Believe it or not, Berwyn is a town located in the Chicago area. I went up there to shop for a Harley Davidson a long time ago. When they would chant "BERWYN??????" it was usually in reference to that town every time they would get fan mail from that town. It became one of the standard jokes on "Screaming Yellow Theatre." I could be wrong, but I think Svengoolie got his start on WFLD in Chicago, and the Berwyn joke sort of stuck. The first time I heard "BERWYN??????" was when I was watching on a Friday night wen I was about 11 years old.
