Hi Folks:
As you all know, Tomorrow is Saturday February 29th, and that date only happens once every 4 years. I wish I had thought of this earlier, but unfortunately I only barely came up with it now.
"Little Halloween" is already taken up by every occurrence of the 13thof the month falling on a Friday. However, I can't let this rare gem get by me without doing something weird or creepy to observe Leap Year Day, so for lack of any better ideas, I thought I would have a "Halloween" movie marathon, and screen all of my Michael Meyers movies through out the day. I'm going to order a pizza from Dominos, and pick up a bag of Reeses Peanut Butter Cups to eat between pizza slices.
I don't know if any of you do anything special creepy for Leap Year Day or not, but since it only comes once every 4 years, I thought it might be fun to dork around with it.
At any rate, I'll check back in. Tune into Netflix or warm up your DVD player if you care to join in the fun.

Re: LEAP YEAR DAY
Sounds like a fun idea, Mike! Unfortunately, I'll be doing laundry most of the day. If I get inspired later, I'll let you know.

Re: LEAP YEAR DAY
This is just an impromptu idea I came up with on the spill of the moment. Unfortunately there won't be another 29th of February until 2024, and I didn't have a lot of time to think it out. At least I have 4 years to think up something creative for 2024.

It's a fun idea!
Two of our local newscasters have a connection to Leap Day. One has a daughter who was "4" on Feb 29. Another has a father who turned "21". These people are called "Leaplings".

Re: LEAP YEAR DAY
I knew a few people who were 'leaplings,' too. One girl I went to high school with celebrated her "4th" birthday when she turned 16. She got her drivers license so we all chipped in and bought her a Fisher Price toy car as a gag gift.

She thought it was. She gave that car to her baby sister who thought it was grand.
