You might want to clarify which "Tri-State area" you are talking about.

e.g. Cincinnati (Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana), Pittsburg (PA, OH, WV), NY (NY, NJ, Connecticut), Chicagoland (IL, IN, WI), Dubuqua, Ioaw (IL, WI, MO), DC (DC, VA, MD) etc.

That was my question, too. I live in middle TN. There are tri-states all over the place, but here in TN, we are usually talking about this state itself--West, Middle, and East TN. It's a very common term.

Lombardi spooktacular? Is it about a haunted football stadium?

Thank you! Thank you! I'll be here all week! Try the shrimp scampi!

I do plan to go to a few haunted attractions in October, but what I really am looking for are photo ops of creepy old abandoned buildings, places, amusement parks and the like that purported to be haunted.

We have at least one drive-in movie theater in middle TN. A place like that could look spooky out of season, too.

Abandoned drive-in theatres are in a class all their own. There's the Hilltop Drive-In in Joliet that I did a photo study of some time ago. Unfortunately, like so many other things, the disc was destroyed in the fire of 2015. I don't know if it's still around or not. I also remember taking my GF there to see "Clash of the Titans" back in the early 80s when it was still in operation. I also went to a few shows there alone, mainly for the fabulous hot dogs that they served at the concession stand. It's a shame what it's become. It was a total ruin the last time I was there, and that was back in 2011 or 2012. There is a great drive-in theatre in Gibson City Ill that's still in operation and they recently upgraded to digital projection systems. IT, too, has wonderful food at the concession, everything from hot dogs and hamburgers to pop corn to funnel cakes. To boot, they allow you to bring your own food in and a small grill (for a 6 dollar fee) and grill up your own. They also allow Pizza Hut deliveries for those who like pizza. I went and saw Tim Burton's "Dark Shadows" at that drive in, among others.
