Wow time flies! Can't believe it's already June and I'm already getting to post something on this thread. I was in Michael's today, and in two aisles I saw some autumn leaves, Pumpkins, and owls! Not too far over from them was some Halloween ribbon. I looked around the store for more stuff, but that's all I saw. Not a whole lot, but it's a start! Hope everyone is having a great summer!

This is great to see! I love the time of year when we start to see the first sprinklings of fall. Im enjoying summer, but life is too short to not enjoy the stuff you like throughout the year.

I was in the Dollar General store yesterday and saw some autumn-themed flowers and leaves out for the crafters. Probably in another month or so they'll have Halloween stuff out. Usually sometime in early-mid August the Menards home improvement store will have their whole Halloween display up. Once I see that, it puts me in a good mood that seems to last until January.

Have a great day, everyone.

And for those of us who enjoy the other signs of the approaching fall season, it will be July next week. Which means we will have reached the start of the back to school sales, new fall hunting and outdoors gear appearing in the stores, the start of football training camp, and the time of year the corn starts getting tall.

It's been a good summer so far, though. I love summer after 5 p.m. Those bright, hot afternoon hours drain me.

Well I don't know about you but there have been early Halloween sightings at my work since the last week of May till the end of this week in June. All thanks to my Fruitables pumpkin display with a Halloween twist on it!

I just can't wait until next Halloween,
'Cause I've got some new ideas
that will really make them scream!
And, by God, I'm really gonna give it all my might!

I was in Hobby Lobby yesterday and saw at least an aisle or two of fall leaves, scarecrows, and artificial pumpkins. (However, I was buying the marked-down 4th of July merchandise.)

You know, I didn't look closely at them, but I expect they were there. Guess I'll just have to go back, As if I need an excuse to go back to a craft store!

Same here! To me, we still have plenty of warm weather to enjoy, but we start seeing autumn merchandise slowly start coming out so we know that Halloween and fall is right around the corner!

The Dollar Tree catalog arrived this morning, I was giddy.

Day before yesterday I was in Cracker Barrel, and they had a small Halloween display near the back of their store. I presume this is just the beginning. My husband didn't give me nearly enough time to examine it!

I'll have to check out Cracker Barrel then. I have to admit, I was a little disappointed in their offerings last year but always optimistic. If nothing else, at least you can get a decent meal.

Jo-Ann's has some of their Halloween stuff out. Not a lot just yet, but some cool things. They also have Brach's candy corn out. Not everybody's favorite, I know. But for those of us who like it, it's great to see. I already went through the Indian corn I froze from last year, need to get a new stash. :)
We're the farmer's scarecrows
We scare away the birds,
We keep the farmer's corn safe
Without any words.
But when Halloween comes
We jump out of the ground
And we scare the boys and girls
When they come walking 'round.
