Make sure you if you're wearing anything that is flammable to stay away from fire. You'd be surprised to know how many people get accidently burned each year.
If you're wearing a full cover mask, to take it off while you are driving. It's illegal in most states to have it on while driving and you don't want to cut down on your vision, especially where kids are concerned.
Make sure the young ones and even the old ones who are out walking are wearing either reflective clothing, carrying flashlights or if you want, several chemical glow wands is cool and they come in multiple colors. Just make sure you have enough to last all night. The glow necklace is a good choice, but make sure it isn't covered up by hair or the costume. If you go the necklace, make it about four or five of them all at once.
Many hospitals are x-raying candy free of charge, but if it were me, I'd just take the candy home and look through it by hand under a good bright light. If you're vigilant, use common sense and don't let the kids eat the candy until they get home, you should have nothing to worry about.
I'm having to work tonight and hope if I run into any of y'all its because we're having a good time and not because something bad has happened.
