Story by Stephen king? You're right, how did this go under the radar?

I just ordered the DVD on Amazon for 20 bucks.

It appears to be a copy of an Asian VCD ( Video compact disc), So we'll see how good the quality is when it comes in next week.

You may regret that Andy. I bought an Alice Cooper concert that was a VCD. The concert was filmed in London but the VCD came from Hong Kong. The graphics weren't the best and sometimes you could actually see large pixels on screen. And that was on a DVD player and an older, non digital TV. I wouldn't even consider buying one now that I have a Blu-ray player.

Just watched "The American Scream", a documentary about home-haunters in Fairhaven, Massachusetts.

It's on Netflix streaming; not sure if or when it'll be on broadcast TV this year.

Watch 'the Innocents' with Deborah Kerr if you liked the others.

We had a Halloween mini-film festival at our house this weekend. Started with Young Frankenstein, went to Haunted Mansion, then Halloween. Yesterday we watched The Amityville Horror (1970s version) followed by Gary Oldman in Dracula.

Have you ever seen The Others (2001) Murf? If not, I am betting you would like it. If you have, did you like it?

Yeah, The Others is a pretty good movie. You should check it out. I'm watching last night's Walking Dead again. I love where this season is going.

I think I have seen that before. I think I saw it on TCM last October.

Truman Capote worked on the script based on the book, the Turn Of The Screw.

I guess he needed something to lighten his mood after writing In Cold Blood.

Yes, I saw it when it was relatively new, and I did enjoy it. I like that costumey, spooky, haunted house stuff. I don't have that one in my personal collection, though. I should look for it.

I didn't realize that Truman Capote had worked on the script for The Innocents. There is an opera based on that story, too, by Benjamin Britten, I believe. Henry James is an icon for lit-major types, so The Turn of the Screw gets taught in colleges & universities. The ending is ambiguous, but it is common in univ. classes to blame everything on the wacko governess.
