What's up Nevermore and Spooky! I've been great! the music life has taken a wonderful direction (decided to set up my own little studio at the house which has been a great building block for myself.) Like I said, I saw some Halloween décor a week ago in Dollar General and I just had to come back! now with all this free time and such
Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!

Free time, huh? How about coming over here and helping me do some yard work?

I almost bought one of the white pumpkins next to the skulls but all the ones in the stores there was some screw up in the paint/glitter so I passed. I may check back later. Nevermore my wife and I also go in all the Spirit Halloweens, Halloween Expresses and Halloween Cities even though as you said they usually have the same stuff.

The day care for older kids did a Halloween day yesterday. They were all dressed up and everything. There are still a few decorations up. I would take pictures but that would probably look creepy.

Hi Folks:

Well I've been on a very long vacation and I decided to blow off the computer for that time, but I am finaly back. Didn't get to do a 'haunted road trip,' but I did a lot of riding, and a lot of relaxing.

During my motorcycle antics, I was in 3 different stores that are already selling Halloween merchandise. The Wal-Mare in Morris, the local drugstore in my town, and a K-Mart in some town I don't remember what the name of is.

Anyway, the 'big day' is getting closer and closer. Let's also not forget that September 13th is on a Friday this year. I'll post another thread on it when it gets closer to the date.

Mike

Looks like things are in full swing. I stopped at a bunch of stores today that were putting out their stuff. If you guys have a Big Lots near you go check it out. Some interesting autumn centerpieces and trays.

My husband found Halloween M&Ms at Wall-Mart. :)
We're the farmer's scarecrows
We scare away the birds,
We keep the farmer's corn safe
Without any words.
But when Halloween comes
We jump out of the ground
And we scare the boys and girls
When they come walking 'round.

The various Halloween-themed magazines are starting to appear, but if you see Taste of Home's Ultimate Halloween issue, you should know that it is a reprint of last year's. A great book but no need to buy it if you already have the 2012 edition.

Just the other day when I went to my local grocery store to pick up a pound of Ollive Loaf, I saw several magazines on the racks with Halloween pictures on them. I don't remember what magazines they were, but there were already jack o'lanterns, skeleton cookies and all kinds of Halloween themed decorations and desert items featured on the front covers.
