I got it on DVD a year or so back. One of my favorite Halloween movies, but I haven't screened it yet this year. I'm saving it for October.

You know, I don't think it was actually that big a hit when it first came out. It has had tremendous staying power, though.

Always loved this movie, and I always watch it when it's on.

I watch it several times a year.
All you that doth my grave pass by,
As you are now so once was I,
As I am now so you must be,
Prepare for death & follow me.

I enjoy HP when it's on but wouldn't feel the need to own the movie. It already plays every year near Halloween which is the time I would want to watch it anyway. If I for some reason felt an urge to watch it. I am sure I can netflix it.

I kind of like it because it is so campy. ;-)

I get the same rush watching 'When Good Ghouls Go Bad' as I do this. It's another charming movie based around Halloween. Plus it stars Christopher Lloyd, one of my favorite actors. Anyone here remember Reverend Jim?

the flash of the tv helps me fall asleep so we always cut the dvd player on (bc it turns itself off when the movies done)... for about 2 months I caught the first 15-20 minutes of hocus pocus every night lol my gal finally broke down and made me change it... so I put in the first season of Scooby Doo!
Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!
