Re: 2012 Sightings
Well, Michaels and Garden Ridge have their Halloween stuff out. I noticed a sign for a seasonal Halloween joint opening in September as well.
I have sighted a screech owl or two in my neighborhood and I think I saw a bat the other night too. That counts

I've been thinking about checking out Michael's glad to know they're ready. Home Goods is normally pretty early also perhaps I'll poke in soon.Pumpkin56 wrote:Well, Michaels and Garden Ridge have their Halloween stuff out. It counts as long as it's a real bat. If it's just Midnight Shadow, then it just means you have an abnormally high crime rate that he's there to fightDemonic Duck wrote:I've been thinking about checking out Michael's glad to know they're ready. I don't know where she got it but yesterday my roommate gave me a stuffed monkey in a skeleton costume. When you squeeze it he spouts all kinds of Halloween sayings. She refuse to tell me where she got it. Just loves to see me squirm knowing that some store I don't know about has their Halloween stuff out.

That is both awesome and then evil of your roommate. But the monkey sounds really cool last year I invested in two of these one for home and one for the office:NeverMore wrote:

Michael's and Hobby Lobby are both almost fully stocked here in Houston, and my grocery stores are filling up slightly in the floral dept. I also found the FIRST pumpkin beer of the season... and bought it.

Re: 2012 Sightings
I have one more Blue Moon Harvest Pumpkin Ale in the fridge. In fact, it's so hot right now, I'm gonna go grab it. Don't really care for it that much. I like Blue Moon's Honey Ale way much more.

Halloween wraps fear in innocence,
As though it were a slightly sour sweet.
Let terror, then, be turned into a treat...

The Hallmark in my area is starting to put there stuff out. I picked up this fellow there. I love the Jim Shore Halloween stuff. Though I do wonder, where are his ears?

We're the farmer's scarecrows
We scare away the birds,
We keep the farmer's corn safe
Without any words.
But when Halloween comes
We jump out of the ground
And we scare the boys and girls
When they come walking 'round.

And we scare the boys and girls

Yeah, Nevermore, that is the beer I bought. I love pumpkin beer, but Blue moon isn't my favorite either. Have you ever tried Shock Top? They make the best (easy to find) pumpkin beer I've ever had.

I haven't had the Shocktop pumpkin. Blue Moon's was ok. Pumpking is by far the best.

Re: 2012 Sightings
I'll have to try Shock Top's pumpkin beer. I recently had their lemon beer, which was pretty good. A friend let me try her raspberry Shock Top, really good, but I couldn't find any at the stores. Must be seasonal.
