Re: Gloomy Day in Georgia
Here in Illinois, it could go either way. It could be hotter or colder then hell. Nothing would suprise me any more. I just hope I can do plenty of motorcycling this Summer.

Re: Gloomy Day in Georgia
I LOVE to berbecue, Zoltan. I had my first Barbecue on Saturday March 17th. I barbecued one of my Corned Beef roasts for my St. Patrick's Day party. Like last year, it disappeared before the dinner was over.
I have to work around my photo schedule, but I plan to barbecue a standing rib roast for my friends when we all get together for the Memorial Day weekend.

I love it when my dad bbqs. I think my favorite thing is either beer can chicken or when he and my uncle get together, they sometimes do a massive brisket. Now I'm feeling really carnivorous...

I've done Barbecued Brisket, too. I have two different way I do it. In the crock pot, or on the barbecue. Both ways takes about 11 to 12 hours depending on the size of the roast, but it allways comes out great.
My favorite barbecue, however, is Prime Rib or Standing Rig Roast. I never mastered pork. IT allways came out too dry. I did have pretty decent success with a turkey breast, though. I may try that for my Bday next July.

I never do a whole roast on the grill. Grilling, at least for me, is for steaks, hamburgers and ocassionaly chicken. When I do a whole roast, I use the smoker, and I agree. It's awesome.
Unlike most barbecuers, however, I actualy prefer beef to pork, all though when pork is done right, there's nothing like it. My problem is no matter what I do, when I do pork in the smoker, it sllways comes out way too dry. So dry, in fact, that it's almost impossible to eat. The oven is my main method when I do pork. I might try my hand at smoking a fresh ham, though. I never tired that before, but I've tried pork chops, I tried ribs, I tried a pork rib roast, and every time it was as dry as the Mojave Desert.

Just saw on line that Dallas/Ft. Worth has been hit with at least two massive tornadoes. I hope everyone is safe. I don't know if any of our members lives there--

That's my area, Murf. Yesterday was pretty scary. The sky was so black that it looked like it was nighttime--you couldn't see anything outside because it was so dark. I was at work when the storm hit and everyone in the building had to get in the hallways near the stairs. Luckily for us, it was just a really rough thunderstorm. I think the area where my office is just happened to be between two cells so we didn't experience any damage. However, there were places that are just a few miles from us that go hit incredibly hard.
