Re: I'm Reading.....
I'm reading a bunch of stuff at once.
Edgar Allen Poe, The Pit and the Pendulum
I got a few pages in and haven't continued in a while.
H.P. Lovecraft, The Dunwich Horror
Lovecraft can be hard to follow. He's kind of boring to me but at he same time interesting.
Christopher Hitchens, God is not Great
I'm almost done with this one.
All of these take me forever to read. I'm lazy when it comes to reading.

Halloween wraps fear in innocence,
As though it were a slightly sour sweet.

Re: I'm Reading.....
I read so much in my early life that I fear I have become quite lazy as well. The one through which I am taking a leisurely stroll right now is the first volume of Shelby Foote's Civil War.
I don't read nearly as much fiction as I once did (being a lit professor in my other life, that was pretty much all I did read, once upon a time). Now I am more attracted to narrative history.
Sometimes I will delve into the books my kids are reading. That's how I got hooked on the Harry Potter series, which I loved.

Re: I'm Reading.....
I finished The Dunwich Horror and The Pit and the Pendulum.
I read In the Vault by H.P. Lovecaft.
Now I'm reading The Call of Cthulhu again, also by Lovecraft as everyone knows. I don't remember most things in it from the last time I read it. I must've not been paying attention. Sometimes I tend to let my eyes go over the words and not actually read them. Call of Cthulhu is really good though, I just suck at reading.
I haven't even picked up God is Not Great in forever.

Re: I'm Reading.....
I'm splitting my reading time between The Talisman by Stephen King and China: A New History by John King Fairbank and Merle Goldman which I'm reading as research for a story I'm working on. And let me tell you, it is a challenge to get through at times.
We're the farmer's scarecrows
We scare away the birds,
We keep the farmer's corn safe
Without any words.
But when Halloween comes
We jump out of the ground
And we scare the boys and girls
When they come walking 'round.
