Oh my, how I know all too well about this. I certainly have my foibles when it comes to Halloween. I also love pirates and general maritime things as well as the Indianapolis Colts. But, the Mrs. OEJ is in a class all by herself and the name of the game is The Wizard of Oz!!!! Mostly Dorothys and Totos but if it's something that pertains to The Wizard of Oz, chances are she's had it, has it or will have it! Her collection is primarily made up of dolls and figurines but there are other things, too: t-shirts and clothes; posters and stickers; CDs and DVDs; toys; ceral premiums; furniture; pictures; ornaments and books upon books upon books.
We've got a room CALLED 'the Oz room' and our garage might as well be called the Oz garage. Here are just a few samples....

WOW OEJ, The Mrs OEJ sure has quite the collection of OZ stuff, but then again that was such a classic movie, just awesome. I Loved Toto, so where is your self full of goodies? I think it's wonderful when both parties have their own hobbies and such :)

Dang that's a lot of dolls. My Grandma has a collection of dolls, but they're all older baby doll type dolls... very creepy. I need to snag a few when I go to visit her, she's always trying to give my daughters some of those dolls, but my girls don't like them.

Believe me, that's only a minute fraction of what she has. With her stuff and my stuff and OUR stuff.... I dont' know HOW we're going to move into and apartment. I hate the idea of putting half or more of our home into storage.

Hey, Ghostess... I'm SURE with your talent you could make something even creepier from those already creepy dolls! Eh?!!! :D

These pics, taken of my room were taken in 2005, after I'd finished it. I'd take more recent pics but a lot of it is getting packed up.

OEJ, I'm sure the Mrs. has these. I bought them last year and they sit on my work desk 365 days a year. Gotta love those ruby slippers!

this is F-ing crazy to see SO many people obsessed with halloween dude. I know its like "c'mon get over it" but i've always been looked at funny by my fiance and family for worring about halloween late july-early august. and you guys are just as bad as me or worse! in a good way of course! I live in Las Vegas and at a wal-mart up the street from my house i've already seen scarecrows and pumpkin type decor in the home decorerations aisle. I go to store just to browse to see halloween stuff. like a majortiy of you i read. But when do you guys start putting stuff up, just out of curiosty. If this was answered in another thread my apologies
JDM is where its at...

Hey Grizzly, welcome aboard. I do believe that subject was brought up before - you may just want to skim through some, maybe in decorating? A lot of us start decorating inside September 1st and many of us keep a little bit of Halloween up all year round. You'll love it here...no  or :? or  from friends and family who do not understand our love of Halloween. :D

OEJ, those are witchy's legs, not Dorothy's. Course, your wife is a Wicked fan, right? So she probably feels bad for the witch since she "knew" her before the Wizard of Oz. As for me, I don't mind visualizing a blown up Witchy.

OEJ and LawP, you two crack me up with Blown up Witches and all. Tell you something funny, or at least we thought it was. Yesterday we went into Abbotsford and at this Intersection there in the middle layed an old old broom, looked just like something a witch would have used, lol. ANyways, I didn't see it right away, and hubby said, oh look, a witch must have been hit! I said what? He pointed to the boom and we both cracked up laughing. Then he bugged me all the way home about my car and me being just like BubbleBee and Sam from the Transformers, kinda funny cause I do talk to my car and treat her different than most do their vehicles, or so I'm told. But I am one of those odd balls that am just too opened minded and I could actually see where Machines could have interlligence, ya ya call the white coats, go a head, but really, who are we to think we are so superior? And I watched Maximum Overdrive maybe one to many times :D
BUt my girls been a very loyal friend really, and I try to take good care of her, shes a senior now 26 years young :D
