I LOVE Rice Krispie Treats!! And S'mores too. Actually, the stupid vending machine here at work robbed me of the Rice Krispie Treat I wanted earlier this week! Grrr. One time I found one at the grocery store and the package was about as long as my arm--for just one Krispie treat! I got it and ate the whole thing  Peeps, though....they're just not right. I agree that they are kind of cute to look at though.

The store-bought Rice Krispie treats are okay. I pack them in my lunch bucket once in a while, but the ones I allways knew and loved were home made. My mother and in later years my younger sister allwayd made the Krispie Cookies the Wednesday night before Thanksgiving, and we allways got to sample them right after they were baely made and still warm from the melting of the marshmellow. I actualy make up a batch once in a blue moon.

I love the homemade ones too. The clean-up is what I hate :x

Rice Krispie Treats are good. I have never had homemade ones, but I'm sure those are better.

My favorite way to eat marshmallow is in a S'more, though.

The store bought ones do give me a nice 'taste' of a beloved tradition, but in spite of the clean-up, I still like the home made ones better. My younger sister and I usualy make them together so it make for light work.

I am going to be hosting Thanksgiving at my house this year, so the treats are going to be made the night before right here in my creepy old house.

I bet back in the 60s and 70s, Chicago would have ranked number 1.
