Never stop questioning what doesn't make sense, and what doesn't seem just.

agreed, always ask questions and do your own research, never believe the info provided by one group or person....

Question everything
All you that doth my grave pass by,
As you are now so once was I,
As I am now so you must be,
Prepare for death & follow me.

Andy you make me think of the X Files

Okay I did change my views. I feel really bad about what I posted because I do not agree with it anymore. I was used to the idea that God saved anyone who was good and when I heard of the idea that all non Christians go to hell it actually scared me. It wasn't what I was used to so I didn't like it so naturally I spoke out against it even though I knew about bible verses about non believers being unsaved. I don't know if I can even be forgiven for that. God's justice is different from the justice of this world. Unbelievers could be chosen by God to be damned, I've read stuff from the bible that seems to say that. To me it looks like the bible says non believers go to hell but maybe I'm wrong about that. I don't know. I feel so spiritually lost right now. I can't really remember what I was thinking when I said everything I said but I think I was thinking in the back of my mind that what I was saying was wrong. I feel so bad that I might have changed someones views into something blasphemous. And I feel bad about making this cartoon.
Rising Dead Man wrote:I just made this cartoon!! I wanted to add more text to this but I did not have enough room!! It would have been funnier!! I will make a bigger one later that is more funny!!

I found an article but not a comic. The article is called

Harry Potter: 'Making Evil Look Innocent'

Look at this! This is in the article!!

What are kids saying about Harry Potter? Here are some samples:
"I want to go to wizard school and learn magic. I'd like to learn to use a wand to cast spells." Dylan, age 10.

He is a kid!! I repeat KID!!

"I liked it when the bad guys killed the unicorn and Voldemort drank its blood." Julie, age 13.

Lots of people (inluding me) like gory stuff!!! Does that make us evil?? HUH?!?!?

Bullshit!!

Jack Chick: 'Making Innocent Look Evil'

Here is the article.

http://www.chick.com/bc/2001/harrypotter.asp
I wish I never made it. The number of the beast is nothing to joke around about and the inverted pentagram is blasphemous because the bottom three points blaspheme the Trinity, I can't remember what the top ones are about. I didn't know abou8t that at the time I drew it and the one I made wasn't inverted but still I feel bad about drawing blasphemopus images, the number of the beast, and making fun of satanic stuff . I really hope God can forgive me for what I said. Look at some of the things said on this thread. I didn't say it but I agreed to it.
That Jack Chick is a retarded <censored> <censored> that if I got ahold of, I would stick a broomstick up his <censored> until he has to get a doctor to get it out.

*sigh*

Religious extremists make me angry, especially ones in my religion.
I feel different about Halloween, In recent years I celebrated Halloween but wondered if what I was doing was wrong, but this year I seriously think it might be.

I said and did a bunch of stuff I feel was blasphemous, I don't know if it all was. I hope I did not blaspheme against the Spirit. I'm not sure what it means to do that but I hope I didn't do it. Sometimes I've worried that the pentagram thing or saying everything I said on this thread while knowing I could have been wrong could have been it. I have had a lot of anxiety over this and I don't know what to do to make up for it, so I'm writing this. I hope I can be forgiven.

Fella, calm down and take a deep breath. I think you'd do a lot better if you spend less time trying to figure out exactly what you believe, and a bit more time examining why you believe it. Is your religion a way to find answers to the unanswerable questions in life, or are you getting so bogged down in the dogma it's creating more questions than it's answering?

Don't tie yourself up in knots trying to understand a holy book or a deity. Both are designed to be confusing, and are inherently self-contradictory. If faith is a part of your life, try to take comfort from it in a larger, abstract sense, and avoid getting hung up on all the little details. Focus on the message of love and compassion for your fellow humans, and not on notions of punishment. Live a life of charity and kindness, and don't worry if your clothes are made from blended fabrics, or if someone is reading a Harry Potter book.

Asking for forgiveness may or may not elicit the forgiveness of a deity, but one thing it certainly will do is allow you to forgive yourself for your mistakes, learn from them so as not to repeat them, and continue on as a wiser person. If you would be religious, use your religion to make yourself into a better person, not to make yourself miserable with worry.

Wow I must have been completely psychotic then. Ya I suffer from LOADS of anxiety and a lot of times it's religious and I start obsessing over sin and hell. Sometimes I'm almost delusional.

Anyways I'm leaning towards atheism now because faith has just tortured me too much.

Careful with atheism, it can also make a person kooky.
I prefer agnostic; I don't have any proof of the almighty, but would prefer it to...nothing.

Atheists tend to shy away from encouraging deconversions. We like to remain aloof and pretend to be part of some exclusive little club of enlightenment. Becoming an atheist involves a lot more than merely not believing in deities. You have to pass a rigorous written exam, navigate a strenuous obstacle course, complete thirteen tasks, and pay me five dollars. Then and only then can you truly be accepted into the ranks of noble Atheism.

In all seriousness though, what I like is people living happy lives and not hurting other people. I really don't much care how they get there. Philosophical and theological debates are fun, but so are picnics.
