About dating services

I'd like to know for sure.... because some of my friends got arrested for soliciting with prostitutions online, but they really didn't do it.... for instance, they only asked girls to meet at their home, at the bar, at the club, maybe somewhere else at other places such hotels, motels, at the party.... is it legal or illegal? Also, some say that escort services are illegal... why is that???

Well, I mean, if you drive the car all the way down to the street and look for a whore, and pick her up, then that is soliciting with prostitution.... but why online??? Jeez, for example, if you go to the stripper club or bar where you meet a sexy dancer, or someone who is looking for fun without money, but it's still illegal??? WTH???

Dating services are the best way I know of, to meet up with a serial killer, rip off artist, or con person. IMHO it's best to avoid them for that reason. I have to look at it realisticly. I'm 50 years old, and showing every year of that age. When a gorgeous 20 something girl acts interested in a romantic relationship with me, there has to be an alterior motive.

thats not always true Mike.. some girls are just weird and like older men.
Most of them are probably complete freaks, since they can't seem to find someone in the real world, but I have a few friends that met their husband/wife from eharmony or plentyoffish.

I agree. I haven't logged on in a while, and reading this totally reminded me why I come here. Well, part of why I come here.

I don't know the legalities of dating services and where the line is drawn, but I would stay away from the stuff. My mother knew a guy on there she talked with for about a year. When they decided to meet up, I went with her. The only other car in the parking lot they agreed to meet at had a fat old guy in it, who eventualy drove away when her and I got out of the car.

If you want s-e-x, go to a bar and hit on some drunk people. Or just get a girlfriend/boyfriend.

I didn't mean to sound offensive,Miss Monster,and as for girls who like older men, I would LOVE to meet one, but as a realist, I have doubts that will ever happen. And yes, many people use dating services and meet "Mr. or Miss Right," but I have heard all kinds of horror stories of people who have met up with serial killers through these same services.
