You are crazy! I think there are enough gagets to make things easier. One of the most yummy things about carving pumpkins is getting your hands in all the goo! The slimy, slippery goodness of the season. Pretty soon, people will want to buy their pumpkins already carved.
Go buy a Funkin!

That would be neat to have a pumpkin vacuum, but I think that part of the whole experience of carving pumpkin is to get your hands all gooey with the pumpkin guts. Nothing beats the slimy texture, the seeds, and the great smell of goo.
I can't wait to carve my first pumpkin this year! I usually just stick to the traditional pumpkin faces because I'm not too good with all the artistic, scenes on pumpkins. I like sticking with the classic triangle eyes and nose, and the crooked creepy grin.

Good gadget to have, but I like the traditional way.
Up to my elbows in pumpkin guts and cleaning off the seeds for roasting.
The mess is part of the fun!
I love the idea about the skeleton!

There are web/dry shop vacumes that you can use to vaccum up water or dry dirt. That might work for pumpkin guts, but you would still have to scrape the inside of the pumpkin first so the guts would not stick to the inside wall.

Like I said, I don't know how well a shop vac will work on pumpkin guts. You definately have to scrape the sides thourghly or they will stick to the inside of the pumpkin.

I agree, MyersFan1
Pulling out the guts and seeds is all part of the fun.
