Hi Folks:
Well I've been flapping my gums about all the great haunted places I visited while on vacation last month, and my original plan was to wait until October, but I thought I would post a little preview here today, to sort of get every one in the mood as Halloween draws ever so closer.
The Moon Point Cemetery (Mistakenly refered to as the Moon Creek Cemetery) is a very old cemetery as you wil see by some of the head stons featured. The main legend is that of a woman who had a son who was the object of constant dissing and ridicule. He lived during the Civil War era. Wanting to escape all the nastiness, he joined the Union Army and was killed. When he was burried, some of his old detractors thought they would come around and desecrate his grave. The guy's mother, however, was not going to have that, so she would spend most of her days at the Moon Point cemetery with a hatchet, protecting the grave of her son. When she died, she, toow as intered at Moon Point, and according to local lor, her ghost still wields a hatchet, and many people have heard a woman's voice saying "Get out!" Get out! Many have claimed to hear her whispering "Get out" right in their ear and have fealt her presence. Unfortunately the stories don't say which grave is that of the woman or her son.
Also perported, are isntances of cars not starting, and fires starting for no appearent reason.
