Salem, MA in September

I saw the original post, but everyone was who replied was focusing on Haunted Houses in Salem during October, which doesn't help me. I'm more concerned with the history of the region and not Haunted Houses!

I am interested in the witch trials and things like that. I'm reserving October for my own yard haunt display in my own town (Virginia). Which some people I should see and which should I avoid, while thinking about visiting Salem in September???

Well, I'm not one for attractions, but I saw on Haunted History that at a certain corner of a wall at the center of town was built in gravestones of the accused witches, and if you hang around there at night you can see their ghosts

I went to Salem in September... back in 2005. It was a little touristy... honestly, the best part was looking at the homes. I HIGHLY recommend the trolly tour. There's also one witch museum (part of the triple threat... the wax museum, the pirate museum, and the witch museum I'm talking about) that does a live-action show. They also have the beam from the original prison that held some of the original witch trial captives.

I stayed in the Hawthorne Hotel. It was very lavish... but fun. =)

Here are some photos:

JW,

Thanks a lot for posting the story of your tour up there in Salem! It was very interesting thing for me to visit there this month, but don't know because of the money, you know? Maybe next time I will go there when I get more money next year! :D

Also, there were very cool pics! I really liked the one you posted the tombstones! Was it in the old cemetery?? Yeah, I know that!

Ahh nothing quite as relaxing as a graveyard on a beautiful day!
