I can attest that the Winchester Mystery House is a very cool place... unless you're close to 6-feet tall and walking around in the basement... then it becomes an exercise in dexterity. Thank god for the hard hats!
One of the stories I remember while on the tour of the inside of the house involved this dining room table in the kitchen/breakfast nook near the seance room (at the top of the house, near the bell tower-- which I'm sure makes sense to no one but those who've been). I guess on one of the tours, a guest said they appreciated the reenactor who was sitting and drinking tea at the table. Of course, they don't do reenactors there-- and the tour guides wear khaki pants and polos, so... the theory is that it was the late Mrs. Winchester.
The table:
The Bell Tower:
I've also been to St. Louis Cemetery #1 (and #3)-- I wouldn't say it was creepy so much as AWESOME! (I wouldn't go there at night or without a tour group as I've heard from friends who live in the area that it's not exactly safe.) I took 125 photos of the place, but here are a couple favorites:
I loved the moss on this crypt:
Homer Plessy from Plessy vs. Ferguson is buried there-- close to the judge who ruled against him.
Anyone into Voodoo lore? Surely you've heard of Marie Glapion AKA Marie Laveau, the Voodoo Queen of New Orleans. This is her tomb:
My sister lives near Fall River, RI-- if I ever make it out to visit, we're going to stop at the Lizzie Borden B&B. She and my mom went there, so I have photos of the inside of the place-- none of them are uploaded or I'd share.
I love visiting haunted places. =)
Anyone recognize this gem?

I've been to the Lemp Mansion, it was awesome:
The Lemp Mansion was home to the Lemp family, whose William J. Lemp Brewing Co. beer grew to dominate the St. Louis beer market and earned the family a substantial fortune. Tragedy struck the family when William’s favorite son, Frederick, died mysteriously in 1901. William shot himself three years later. His son, William Jr., took over. But the brewery business began to falter, and the arrival of the Prohibition era ultimately forced the plant to close. William Jr.’s sister Elsa committed suicide in 1920. Two years later, the brewery was sold at auction, and William Jr. shot himself too. Many years later, William Jr. and Elsa’s brother Charles would also commit suicide by gunshot. The immense amount of tragedy that took place in the mansion has contributed to its haunted reputation; the house now operates as a hotel, restaurant, and event venue.
