Oreo Balls
Hi Folks:
This is not a Halloween Recipe per se, but for those of you who are more artistic about food, I'm sure there's a way you can make these things look right for the season. I am going to try my hand at these this Saturday.
Anyway, here is the recipe:
OREO BALLS
Ingrediangs:
1 package of Oreo Cookies
1 Block of Cream Cheese, Softened
1 pack of cooking chocolate (The recipe reccomends Hershe's semi sweet chocolte chips, but I'm partial to the Bakers Semi Sweet personaly
1 Graham Cracker Crust to put it all in.
1. Place the Oreo cookies in a bag or a blender and either smash it up or blend it until it has the consistancy of dirt
2. Mix the softened cream cheese into the smashed oreos
3. Roll the mixture nto balls
4. Melt chocolate in the microwave or a double boiler
5. Cover balls in chocolate then leave to set in the frige.
(It might also be a good idea to use wax paper or something non stick.
And there you have it. A home made treat great for Halloween or any other ocassion.
Mike

These things are amazing!! Some get made from time to time and they are just pure bliss.
I just can't wait until next Halloween,
'Cause I've got some new ideas
that will really make them scream!
And, by God, I'm really gonna give it all my might!

Re: Oreo Balls
my wife has actually made those only without ghram crackers. Let me tell you they are fantastic. If you skip the ghram cracker and leave them dark after setting them you could decorate them in some sort of halloween fashion I imagine.

Re: Oreo Balls
Great little treat I've started making lately is deep fried home made Oreos, with orange food coloring in the the frying batter. When they're done I take black and brown cake decorating frosting and paint on the lines on the pumpkin in brown, and the face on in black with a special paint brush (Only used for this.lol)
Delicious.
Delicious.

That sounds awesome Metallica_87. You should post a picture when you make them next.
