Ohhh Britishwitch those little ghosty whippy guys are gorgeous!!! Are they made from meringue? :o

Also, is that a pumpkin pie with the spider print on it?? It looks delicious! You're quite the spooky chef ;)

Thank you, you are very kind!

Yes I called them little Caspers (Pary always for little children!)

The flan was made from oranges and grapes covered with jelly...I am going to attempt a bat as well this year with the same technique. Fingers crossed it works! :?

These are some of the cakes I served up last year. Very boring I think compared to the Cupcakes I have seen since but this year I will try again!

HI All

Just thought I would share with you my pre party attempts today.

I was browsing through Brittas site last night (Fab web site I think you would all agree!!!) and I noticed the Pumpkin Pasties that she made.

Well as over here we cannot get tinned pumpkin and the fresh ones haven't hit the stores yet, I thought I would try them out with mince meat (sweet stuff like you get in pies at Christmas) Well....they are fab!!

I think I am going to make some with Spiced Apple and Sultanas too. what made it even better was my Mum found in her cupboard this great little gadget that you place the pastry in and it folds them over and seals the edges which made the whole thing sooooo easy!

Once again...thank you Britta for a wonderful idea :D

LawP, you are too kind

Thank you!

I take all my inspiration from others, like yourself on here that adore halloween and take great enjoyment from having fun!

I had a practice run the other evening for this years Caspers but it all went dreadfully wrong! :?

The all turned out soggy and colapsed on the tray :(

Nevermind... I have a few weeks to get it right!

Those are just amazing!! How very creative you are. The kiddo's are so lucky to have you as a hostess!

Nosh-ingly nauseating!

Those fingers are so perfect! And those pies!
(Wolfie runs a sleeve across his lip to wipe away a little spittle.)
I just ate, but this is sooooo tempting! I wish I could just catch a wiff.
