My old one was 250 watts, I bought it from Denny before he started making the 500 watt units and now he is out of business. This year I am adding a 500 watt halogen work light to the yard as a lightning source, ($9.00 at Walmart) and wanted a more powerful machine but didnt want to spend a ton of cash!
The lightning machine is the same as the ones you used to see in Target and Walmart for about $20 but this one is in a Christmas case and only cost $12 and change. My 250 watt TBD machine was around $100.

I have tested the $12 unit and it works great, it's single channel and has a lights always on button as well (my old one didnt have that) and it's very bright!
