Should start seeing Halloween goodies at Micheal's next month. Usually the first to put stuff out since people need time to get their craft on.

Yes I can get stuff at second hand stores, that is a pretty reliable recourse as well

I haven't quite gotten "the but" as of yet, but I'm allways thinking in terms of Halloween when ever I go out shopping and I see something that might work with the holiday. For instance, when I go Indiana for fireworks in a few weeks, I will undoubetedly be looking a little extra hard for orange, yellow or black smoke bombs for some Halloween yard tricks.

Well, I was planning to take a trip down the Natchez Trace, all the way to Natchez, and maybe scoot on down to Biloxi from there. However, one of my cats isn't doing well, so I may have to postpone an out-of-state trip until he's better. So I have scaled back to a series of day trips in this area. We can still do part of the Trace. Meriwether Lewis is actually buried on it not too far from here.
Otherwise, I am swimming a lot, looking out for local festivals, that kind of thing.
A week or so back I bought a book called "Haunted Mississippi," which has lots of ghost stories from that state (my home state). I should be well prepared for my trip to Natchez (and on off-Trace excursion to Vicksburg) when I do get my chance to make it!

No, Pumpkin man, we're not talking about "the but." We're talking about "the bug"!
It just bit me a little right now, as it always does in the summer months. Of course I'm always into the macabre every day of the year, but the Halloween feelings specifically got me right now. So I dropped by. I guess now this means it's time to start working on my gravestones like I said I was gonna do as soon as winter ended. You can expect them to be as good as they have been the last couple of years!
