Would you purchase and / or live in a haunted house?
Would you knowingly purchase and / or live in a house, that's haunted?

Re: Would you purchase and / or live in a haunted house?
Well, it would depend on the kind of haunt. I wouldn't want to live in one that gave me "evil" vibes. I had a friend who was house-hunting a number of years ago, and she found a house that seemed right for her price range, but then both she and her husband went up to the second floor. Both of them separately got this really bad vibe from a room on the second floor, so they turned down that house. She told me later it was just a bad, bad feeling. Like there was a presence there, and it didn't want them around.
I don't think I would ever deliberately seek out a house that was haunted. However, I do love older homes, and if I could afford one, I would love to live in one. If it came with an "interesting" ghost story, well, that would probably be OK with me.

If I was obscenely rich I probably would buy one as a second house or a party house I'm with Murf though--I like the eerieness of a haunted house but I don't want anything that might harm me. If we're talking about Casper or some other curious friendly ghosts, then that's fine. I think I would want something that I could get along with

I have a friend who lives in a house that was owned by Dr. Henry Howard Holmes the first American serial killer and they have the ghost of a child that was killed in the house that their dogs play with and a women who folds clothing and there other good things that happen. Those would not bother me however there a creepy cold spot in the basement that nearly impossible to be in and with some research they found out that is the spot he torture the child before killing him. One of their dogs looses in when the are turns cold and I heard acts like he wants to save the little boy. Using that house as a reference, except for the basement, I think it would be a cool house to live in.

In the poll, I voted "Depends on what's haunting it," because I don't want anything to do with satan or any of his minions. If the house is possessed by unclean spirits like Amityville was, then forget it. BUT, I do, actualy, live in a house that is perported to be haunted. I bought it in 1996, have lived there ever since, and I LOVE IT.

I have to say depends on who's doing the haunting...or what.

Yeah, I'm in the 'what's haunting it' category.
I also like '56's idea of having a party house.

I said no, if I knew, or even thought beyond a slight "feeling" it was haunted, I'd never get any sleep, I'd be listening to every single little noise at night and never get any sleep......but, I would for kicks stay in a haunted house over night just for fun....in a group

I voted no, even if I knew who haunted it. It's still too creepy.

I voted yes b/c my grandpa's house is still haunting! His house is 61 years old that house was built in 1950. We have some Indians buried in our backyard, some ghosts that do make noise inside and outside of this house, some foxes look like werewolves in the forest, wind howling and more!

I voted "depends on what's haunting it." Like others, if it was a friendly ghost i'ld be ok with it. If it was an evil one then I would want nothing to do with it.

Perhaps you should open it up for tours next weekend then. You could charge a little too? You could be a part of it as well, like jumping out at people?iHaunt wrote:Me and my grandpa already owned our own haunted house!
It could be even better if you had your "Torture Chamber" up & running too!

I think all iHaunt needs is a camera crew following him around and that would scare all of us

They would then have evidence for the inevitable deposition.
