WHY WE LOVE THE ZED APOC.

Post by Corvus Kulde » Mon Oct 04, 2010 3:19 pm

Ever wonder why we all love talking about Z-day. On the surface it seems a terrible thing to imagine, but I am hard pressed to find anyone under 80 who doesn't have an opinion on it.

For myself I like hearing peoples plan of survival. Most seem to surround the Dawn of the Dead scenario. Hold up and wait. The only problem there is everyone has seen that flick. When we reach the sporting goods store the manager and his family will be waiting with shotguns. He will not risk his family for anyone. I can't blame 'em.....but I want to survive as well. Lots of ugly scenarios there.
there is also , I suppose, a gigantic kind of freedom in the world coming down. Social morays become extinct and honor fossilizes in the ground. Smalltalk, tolerance, not farting in the elevator...all of these things are off the table of concern. I'm not saying that's a good thing, but when everything is down to the days survival you appreciate things more.

Anyway... Why do you like thinking about it.
Oh, your so cool, Brewster!

I will miss horrifying people with a good elevator fart.

I think it's the non-believer version of the apocalypse.
All you that doth my grave pass by,
As you are now so once was I,
As I am now so you must be,
Prepare for death & follow me.

hee-hee. All the way to the 48th floor.

Non-believers apocalypse...hmm..I like it. Kind of an Armageddon by consensus. " we have all agreed now. The end of the world will by zombie apocalypse."

Yeah, the "run to the Walmart and grab the ammo" plan is cliched, but it may be your only option for firepower.
Staying home with everything stockpiled may be a better idea.

I dunno, I think it's fascinating to think about how society will crumble. We'll all be reduced to our animal instincts. Your neighbor that tells you cr@ppy jokes while you go out to get the paper in the morning? You could just shoot him. No society, no law, no morals. Well, mostly no morals. I couldn't just pass by a group of guys assaulting/raping some woman.

Loving the Zombie Apocalypse means: I can go the rest of my life without deodorant and still smell better than most you will meet.

Why wouldn't you use deodorant? There will be thousands of sticks of it just lying around for the taking. I know I'll also be stocking up on rubbing alcohol and triple antibiotic ointment.
