How far along are you in the 2009 costume process?
Just thought it would be an interesting topic to find out just how far everyone has got so far, and to keep each other updated on how we are all doing.
What are you going as?
What have you got?
What have you still to get?
Any in progress pictures?

I"m of course making my own and i'll do my best to post a picture of the progress i'm making on the mask tonight
Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!

I haven't decided what I'm going to be yet but I'll probably be coming up with something pretty soon.

Shaun from "Shaun of the Dead".
(In the middle)
Obviously, I'm going to make it myself. I haven't picked up the stuff yet, but I have some stuff lying around for it.

I don't wear costumes anymore. It's fun picking them out for my neices and nephews, and daughter, though. Sadly, a couple of them are turning twelve right before Halloween and have decided their trick or treating days are over.

Not sure we're going to dress up this year. If we do it'll just be makeup. The masks are hot and uncomfortable and just too much.

I have no idea yet but my Mom is sending me a sewing machine and I can maybe sew something myself. I would like to experiment and get the hang of making my own costumes!

A got a scarecrow mask and a plastic sythe. It's more realistic than the sythe I had for the Death Clown costume and I'm adding fake rust to it. I'm gonna be a killer scarecrow.

Re: How far along are you in the 2009 costume process?
I'll be costuming for 4 separate events this year. 1st will be my Sookie Stackhouse (True blood Waitress) costume for a horror convention in FL. I haven't bought anything for it yet, waiting to see what comes out in the Halloween stores. 2nd will be zombie makeup for a zombie walk for the same event. (I always have an abundance of makeup, I buy out the stores after the 31st) 3rd will be for another horror convention in Chicago, I will be a zombie doughnut shop burn victim named Christye Creams. (Have the costume, just need a couple makeup items- Picture below) And the last will be for Halloween, which I think I will just wear a black cloak, maybe do some face makeup, and pass out treats to the little spooks.
