Early Halloween Spottings!

It's August, and slowly but surely, the Halloween spirit has begun to creep out!
Where have you see early signs of our favorite holiday?
Dollar Tree has already been mentioned to feature some harvest stuff, and I've already got a couple things from them: A skull snow globe and this little cat bucket thing that resembles something from the good old fashioned Halloween decor. I'm sure Dollar tree's halloween stuff will increase as the season goes on.
I've seen Halloween themed fabric in Wal-mart's Craft section.
Things you never new existed catalog featured a Halloween preview.
The Lake Side collection has already featured some pretty nifty things in their catalog.
Hobby Builders I think it's called, a catalog for miniatures, featured some halloween and harvest decor. So you could always build yourself a miniature haunted house! Or one that's decorated for Halloween!
I think someone mentioned Big Lotts has halloween stuff, but there isn't one around here!
Anyone else beginning to see the Halloween spirit creeping out from the depths of graves? Mwahahahhaha!
Oh yeah, yard sales and thrift store stuff don't count, unless the thrift store has made it their main display. I happened to be lucky and found a tiny little haunted house one day at the local thrift store, which I'll probably have in my display this year.
This topic is pretty much for stores in your area and catalogs and such that have started featuring halloween and/or harvest decor!

Party city started putting out last year's inventory of left over costumes and decorations and the local costume shop is starting on their window displays.

Can't say I've ever been there. Is party city locally owned or is it like a franchise?

It is a Chain, there is one near me also but they haven't put up their costumes yet or halloween decor. They're still on the back to school <deleted> I think.

I live in the north eastern united states, although this being the internet I'm a little hesitant to say exactly where. I may have mentioned it before though.
It sounds familiar, but then again who knows. I'm just getting excited to see halloween stuff finally starting to hit the shelves.

Last Saturday I went intot he drug store to fill a prescription, and they had Orange and Black knives, forks and spoons, and plates, and napkins with pumpkins on them. It was not much of a display, but it's a start.

My first sighting was at Cracker Barrel during the second week of July. It was a little girl's witch costume. It kinda got me in the spirit earlier than I usually do.

Michael's has stuff now though. I think they brought it out 2 weekends ago. I scored a great deal on an outdoor prop! I love it!

So far I've seen:
Dollar Tree (mostly fall harvest items, but saw a couple Halloween items as well)
Wal-mart. (Fall items)
Big Lots. (OMG!!! I about freaked out today when I went. If I didn't need stuff for college, all of my money would have been spent in 5 seconds.)
Hallmark.
Joann's Fabrics. (Mostly fall stuff, but a few of the fabrics were Halloween-themed.)
Dollar General. (I went today and saw Halloween candy and a couple fall items.)
Fun Party Store. (Got fake blood today, and they're putting out their costumes now!)
I think I'm forgetting something, but I'm not sure at the moment. lol

I stopped by Wal-Mart yesterday after work to pick up a pair of shoes, and they had a few Halloween items on display. Again, it was just napkins and plates, but it did give me the "bug" so so speak.

The Michaels in my area has already filled 2 or 3 aisles with Halloween and fall decor. I bought a Lemax haunted house to go with my set and it was 20% off, along with all the other Lemax collectibles! I look forward to seeing more stuff come up in stores as soon as the "back to school" phase passes.

Local stores are starting to get Halloween merchandise in stock. Specialty stores are opening all over. We are seeing some really cool props and costumes from our favorite online stores. And now we all realize that there is only 78 days until Halloween.

It is Halloween Season!

Time to build or buy your props. Time to start listening to Halloween music. Time to get strange looks from your neighbors (even more than usual). ;)

It is time to enjoy the season. :D
