Halloween Discussion Forums, Costumes, Horror!

What do you like about Halloween? I like everything about it!

Anything goes. I like some candies, but not really the whole time. I do like Halloween and Horror movies, tell some supernatural stories such as ghosts, vampires, strange creatures, etc.

When trickers and treaters are over at 8 pm, I go in the house and lock the door, turn off the lights and watch some horror movies.

Is Halloween all about the candy? WHAT!? NO!

I love the feel of Halloween. The autumn colours, the pumpkins, costumes, ghostly faces that glow in the dark (Jack-o-Lanterns) and the feeling I get inside when Halloween is near.

Candy doesn't come anywhere close to any of those things.

Me too!

I like the fall of autumn and the color of the leaves and the wind. and the halloween decorations like pumpking, cats and witches in a friendly way when I saw those as a kid in elementary school.

Well, I love the Fall. It's the best time of year, and Halloween comes during that time. The supernatural aspect of the holiday is also important. I'm a bit of a skeptic, but that stuff is still fun to consider.

The best part of Halloween is definitely dressing up! It's fun to see the new crazy ideas people come up with every year! It's the only time of the year you can be someone else other than yourself! Halloween is all about being creative!

i enjoy the autumn air and the crisp air. The leaves turning. The music, Pumpkins, I Love just the feeling of looking at decorations in the store.

Yep, that's exactly it.
There isn't any one thing I can point to and say it's my reason for liking Halloween. It's a combination of factors.
I can't wait until late July or early August.
It's the pre-season.

what i like about halloween again is the apple cider and the fall candle scent and it makes it very halloween like. oh and pumpkin scent as well.

I love almost everything. The green grass is at its peak growing period, The Fall weather, Bowling starts up again. The crisp air the pumpkin pie, The scented candles as well. But most of all I just get that nice warm great feeling inside. The one your supposed to get a Christmas but I get it only during Halloween and 4th of July but mostly Halloween. And I love coming up with new and adding on to my haunted graveyard.

I completely agree with you about the feeling you get at Halloween & July 4th.
I know this sounds odd but I hope that this crummy economy makes people reevaluate what Christmas (okay, Hanukkah too) really means to them.

I love the Fall weather and the calmness of it. It's not too hot or cold (maybe a little chilly, which I'm all for). It's fun driving around and looking at everyone elses Halloween decorations, browsing the stores to see their displays, and such.
The day itself is fun, but in some ways it's almost anti-climactic. I have to constantly remind myself not to let the impending end of the season spoil Halloween. I always get melancholy while taking down the decorations and packing them away for another year.
