I'm starting this thread because my friend told me that there are a couple of his own favorite halloween songs:

Bates Motel by the Hitmen

My name is Norman Bates by Landscape

He's been singing that around work and home for years only to find out he's changed the tune a little over time. It's good to hear about it again. Really, I'm not familiar with these songs. :D

I heard this song called dead puppies aren't much fun. I first heard it on Halloweenradio and then at a haunted house I went to a couple weeks ago. Odd, but a very good song :)

Here are some of my favorites.

The theme song to "The Adams Family"

"Experiment in Terror" by Henry Mancini. It was the theme to the movie of the same name and to the Chicago based tv show that featured horror movies. "Creature Features.

"Strange Things Happen in This World"

"The Last Kiss"

"Molly Malone"

"Tubuler Bells"

The theme to "Halloween"

The theme to "Jaws"

The theme to "Dark Shadows"

"Tocata & Fuge in D Minor" (Theme to Elvira Mistress of Darkness)

"Phantom of the Opera" theme song

The opening of the 2nd act of "Swan Lake" Was the original theme song of the 1931 version of "Dracula" staring Bela Lugosi

And those are the ones that I can think of off the top of my head.

My Halloween CD includes: Monster Mash, Werewolves of London, Dead Man's Party (already mentioned), Bad Moon Risin', Psycho Killer, Ziggy Stardust, Psychobabble, Lunatic Fringe, Twilight Zone and that's all I can think of off-hand.

I've started a Halloween playlist on my ipod. So far I've got Scream by Misfits, The Monster Mash by Bobby Pickett, Devilish Kidnapper, Ferris Wheel, Merry Go round and Spook House by The Candy Spooky Theater.

I don't see how the James Bond 007 themes as Halloween songs. In fact, those aren't even scary or Halloween type movies. There was some nice Sci Fi in some of them, but for the most part they were spy flicks.

I do have a Halloween CD that I put together that contains a lot of the songs from "Dark Shadows," a it also contains a song that was performed by the Gypsies at the Festival of New Whine in the movie "Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man." "Fa do la Fa lo le" If that's the right title.
