To die on Halloween
I have to say, if I could choose the day I die it would be on Halloween. I think if you die on Halloween you're more likely to be a ghostie!

Re: To die on Halloween
Well I don't know about that, HC. I am not trying to impose my religious beliefs on anyone here, but I believe that no matter what date you die on, you go to Heaven, hell or Purgatory. You don't linger on this Earth. I certainly would not want to even if one did remain around to haunt their homes or place where they died.
As for Halloween being the date of my death, I would hate to think that my loved ones would remember Halloween, or any other major holiday as the day I died. I had an older brother who died on the 27th of December, and my father died two days after my birthday. If either one of them had died just two days earlier, that would have 'sucked bilge water' big time. That sort of bummed me out because I never forget the anniversaries of their deaths. I would not want anyone to be bummed out by my death any more then they would be if I died on an ordinary day. If I dide on or close to one of those holidays, they would allways remember that day as the day they lost their "uncle Mike," or brother, cousen or what ever.

As interesting as it would be, I'm going to have to agree with Pumpkin_Man.

If you are going to be a ghost, it is going to happen no matter what day you die. My preference is to go on a day that has little meaning outside that of my death. I don't want to ruin any holiday or special memory for my family.

Re: To die on Halloween
I allways thought it would be neat if my Birthday was on Halloween, though I really liked having my Birthday in July because it really enhanced my Summer vacation, and it was never a school day.
As for being a ghost, I would be down right disappointed if I had to stick around this Earth for 100 years or so before I could enter the here-after.

It would be nice to stick around long enough to check on your family and friends, make sure they were doing well with moving on. Maybe play a trick or two and then be on my way to my next incarnation or insert what your philosophy is here.
