Hey Halloweenists, check this out:

Post by thislazylife » Sat Jul 19, 2008 4:15 am

Hi. I used to post here all the time. I checked out some recent posts, but didn't really recognize anybody. Anyway, lately I've been checking out a lot of "ghost footage" on youtube - I use the quotation marks because so much of it is fake. But a couple of weeks ago I came across the following three videos which I feel are pretty damn creepy and seem legit. I wanted to get other opinions so I've cut and pasted the links. Don't worry, there aren't any of those videos where something screams at you at the end. Please watch and post your opinions. Thank you!

Laurie stares at the station wagon as it moves past. She looks directly at The Shape inside. There is a quick glimpse of him, a strange pale face staring back.

Well, they are pretty convincing, but I still don't buy it. For one thing, in the 2nd video why would the guy put down the camera and record himself in the attic. One might say, that he was ghost hunting and wanted proof. But if that is the case, why would he just run downstairs, if he was truly looking for proof, he would have quickly picked up the camera and filmed the area behind the chimeny where the bucket fell. He didn't do that, so, it makes me wonder. Also, in the last video, the dogs don't look afraid at all, like they supposedly were in the 2nd video.
Because once you cross that bridge, my friend, the ghost is through, his power ends.

I can not watch those. They scare me to death every time. I am afraid of ghosts.
Halloween wraps fear in innocence,
As though it were a slightly sour sweet.
Let terror, then, be turned into a treat...

I'd say these are either legit or the best fakes I've ever seen. Most fake ghost footage can quickly be debunked. This one is way tougher imo.

But even if something is completely real you can still pick it apart and find ways to "prove" it a fake. "The dogs did this or that so it's fake" or "That orb is just dust" or "He had the bucket rigged" etc. So basically if you ever truly get a ghost on camera you're gonna get called a fraud regardless :)

I do totally buy his reaction in the attic though. To me that wasn't acting.

I honestly think it's the dogs' behavior in the second video that creeps me out the most. I've watched this video several times just trying to catch even an instance of recognition on either of the dogs' faces but could not. That's what creeps me out. I don't think either of them are looking at their owner. They both look really uncomfortable. The music is also totally f'ing creepy. The roll of paper towels flying off the table and onto the couch is pretty freaky, too. And, come to think of it, if any of the doors in my house starting opening and slamming shut like that, I'd keep 'em locked and use the windows . . .

the first one, yeah pretty convincing, cant explain the shadow, but the second one i have to say the blonde dog did look scared but by the way he was looking at the man with the camera it was like he was trying to scare the dog and for the attic incident, not so convincing...
