Halloween Discussion Forums, Costumes, Horror!

i've always been a fan of the history channel's history mysteries- nothing can get you in the halloween mood better than watching a program on 'the real dracula.' i also love their series 'lost worlds' and 'monsterquest.'

i think my favorite halloweeny tv show is 'scariest places on earth,' which runs as a marathon on abc family usually the weekend before or of halloween. it's similar to ghosthunters, except the people hunting ghosts aren't professionals and they're forced to stay all night in a haunted historical building. the best episodes were the one at ÄŒachtice castle and the one about the white witch of the haunted voodoo plantation.

so what are your favorite tv shows that get you in the mood (the halloween mood, that is!)!

Hello, call me crazy but my fav is the oldies Adam's Family, Ghost & Mister Chicken, Abott & Costello meets Frankenstien, Mummy, ect.....has anyone seen The Last Halloween or The Halloween Tree. I love them too!!!! Witchy

The Ghost & Mister Chicken is a CLASSIC!!

As for TV shows THe Munsters is my top pick followed by the Twilight Zone and then Dead Like Me.

Definitely the Twilight Zone. Those old episodes can still hold their own against anything written today.

The one with Marsha, who can't escape the department store after closing time and the Talky Tina doll who doesn't take to kindly to Telly Savalas.

Scare tactics is a fun show though not exactly Halloween.

Twilight Zone, Night Gallery, Tales from the Dark Side, Kolchek The Night Stalker, The Munsters, Dark Shadows, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Supernatural.

oh man, how could i have forgotten twilight zone! my favorite episode was the one with william shatner on a plane with that creepy ape thing on the airplane wing.. still cracks me up to this day!

Heh that's one of my favorite episodes. Some may think that thing is cheesy but it still scares the hell outta me. That's my definition of creepy right there...

Forgot about Kolchek!! The episode with the headless biker scared the c**p out of me when I saw it a a kid!!

Eerie Indiana was a good one too. I have a DVD somewhere with a few episodes on it including the one where their friend could hear dogs through his retainer/headgear, plotting to take over just as soon as they "crack zee mystery of zee doorknob" (it was a French poodle talking...).

Growing up, I loved "The Twilight Zone" (The old and the newer one), "Tales from the Crypt", "Tales from the Darkside".

Now-a-days, nothing can top Supernatural. Season 1 is the best too... it was like a 1 hour horror movie every week!

Tales From The Darkside was pretty good, 'Crypt had better writing.
