Upgraded

Post by HalloweenDot » Mon Dec 03, 2007 10:17 am

As you may be able to tell, the software has been upgraded from version 2 to version 3. It took a lot of the weekend to convert the database.

I'll be recreating more of the traditional Halloween.com Forums look over the next few weeks, but I think the software will provide a lot of nice new capabilities.

Messages from the last 24-36 hours MAY have not transferred. I know that some did, but I am not sure about all of them, so if some are missing that is why.

Some of the improved features are:
1. Avatar uploads - much better now.
2. Remote avatars are improved too.
3. Uploading/inlining images.
4. Games - which a number of people asked for. It may take me a little time to add that part though!

And more...

If you notice ANYTHING out of the ordinary, please let me know!

Thanks!

The big thing is that the software behind it should be much more reliable and have the ability to have a lot more features. Games etc.

I'm going to be making the theme more like the old one over time, but this was just lack of time last weekend to really do a lot on the theme since I was trying to convert the database. ;-) :santa:

Searching on the Halloween.com forums should be working again. I think that everything is working as of now, if you have problems though, please let me know and I'll try to fix them.

Did you make it on again Phantom_Stranger? Hopefully....

Good question.

I had problem trying to edit and update my own profile for a several days from now... When I clicked on "profile" button, and it took me straight back to the Halloween.com homepage, not this forum. I tried it to do the same thing twice, still it took me back to the homepage at the main page of Halloween.com - So, is there something wrong?

The old "look" will return shortly. Now that the software behind the "look" is stable.
