We have a reputation ............
Oh what I over-heard last night, sorry just have to share this.........Talk about your warm and fuzzys here........there I was standing in the garage after dark looking at my yard plotting this weekends decor lay out, and here comes a few joggers with kids, I slilently creep back in the dark and just listen, this one jogger look over at my scarecrows and said ;............." Do you kids remember that house last year ?......." that house was so awesome with the walkthrough yard and garage maze . " Wow brought a big smile to my face. This year we have added a 4-D projector movie in the garage with full effects such as a the foggers running, lights, cobweb decor and etc. We'll be in full costumes as a added bonus, can't wait and only hope we can uphold our new found reputation. I'm sure you all have heard similar stuff about your yards with all the nice pics here but doesn't it just warm the cockles of your heart.... . Feel free to chime in if so, and your all invited to movie night........lol !!!!!http://community.webtv.net/boswell7/doc0http://community.webtv.net/boswell7/Boz ... dimproved

Wow I can see why you have your reputation - that haunt looks awesome!! I love the photos - especially the ones where it's just before nightfall, it's such a beautiful eerie light and really adds to the atmosphere.
It's so lovely to hear people say things like that, makes you feel all warm inside knowing that people appreciate having you there in the neighbourhood, making Halloween special

It does look great! But not only that...
I've seen a lot of haunts, so I really mean this...your yard haunt stuff actually has a scary, unsettling edge to it. Often I will call a yard haunt "spooky" or "delightfully ghoulish" but yours is the kind I would feel nervous walking around in. I think the neighborhood compliments are well deserved!

Wow! You really go all out! That's fantastic! I love the decorations and all your fun Halloween toys! No wonder you got such a positive reputation. =D
I am curious-- if and when I get a house, I want to do my own Haunted walk-through-- do you have any tips or tricks you've learned through your years of walk-through haunts?

Hey bozzy, Fantastic pictures, what an awesome haunt, I can see why people would love to come to your house. I'm so happy that you heard those people say such wonderful words, really bosts the moral eh. It's such an awesome motivator when others appreciate your decor. Can't wait to see pictures from your haunt from this year
Thanks again !!!!!!!!!
Wow, thanks so very much for all the kind words, so glad I'm back on here, always remember this place as being such a wonderfull friendly atmosphere and this is just how I remember it, sorry don't mean to sound so mushy and yes it makes it all worth it again. I kinda needed a boost of confidence, been out of work awhile, so all this cheers me up. Sadly to say there's not very much decor in my neighborhood so people do appreciate the effort, only wish I had recorded that last night.....ha. Quoted from above;.......... " I am curious-- if and when I get a house, I want to do my own Haunted walk-through-- do you have any tips or tricks you've learned through your years of walk-through haunts? " Oh I'm no expert , but have learned a few things over the years as a novice ........as stated above and as you may have notice I go for creepy instead of gorey, bloody and horrific scenery........keep it simple, its amazing what ya can do with some lights, foggers, sound effects, cobwebs and a dozen willing actors.............we had to beg a few to come in but the best prop we used and credit to my wife for this one was a well hidden blow-dryer set on high as people duck under the cobwebs in the tunnel portion of the garage maze, it just worked amazingly !!!! You really don't need much and never underestimate good actors, they have a few years under their belts now and with out them it wouldn't work , they are certainly the key, we actually had a few too many and hope to scale back a little, oh and one more thing always use some sort of simple prop as a decoy to get your guest to look one way while you come from another way. gets them every time. Well I guess I've babble anuff for now. Lets decorate !!!!! woohoo its on.
