Halloween Discussion Forums, Costumes, Horror!

I hope everybody has fun on Little Halloween. We are still going to have a party for the kids, but we had to make a few changes. I'll be back next week with a update on how it went.

Hi johnsoneliza52, welcome back. I hope you can stick around and join in, or start a conversation, it would be nice to hear from more people here.

We had another awesome Little Halloween. We decided to just have the party at our place instead of going out like last time, we had to wait until school was out so we started at 4pm, and we had about 10 kids and 5 adults in total at the party.

The kids were wearing costumes, and we played games and watched some scary movies, and like Mike, we ordered pizza for everyone. We also had a scavenger hunt for the kids, where they could find candy and other prizes.

I would say that the only complaint about the party was trying to get people to show up, some of the parents are still paranoid about the pandemic, and I understand that, but that is exactly why kids need a party to feel normal again. It was annoying trying to explain the concept of Little Halloween to some parents that just didn't get it, some didn't want to go because they were superstitious about having a party on that day, and others didn't understand why the kids had to wear costumes.

But eventually we convinced a few parents to let their kids attend, and we had a great time and are looking forward to the next Little Halloween party.

I applaud you for persevering despite the rampant fear that lingers.

Thanks Andy, I just hope that the world can get back to normal soon so that people can enjoy the simple things in life again.

I made 1/2lb burger patties and sautéed a big pan of onions to go with them.

Beef franks as well, l like to split them open lengthwise, and cook them open side down on a griddle.

Corn on the cob and oven roasted vegetables and I'm sure that macaroni salad or potato will show up...maybe both.

Great, now I'm hungry.

These were the BEST burgers I had made to date.

The seared grill marks were crisp and flavorful and the insides pink but not bloody.

There are 4 patties left in the freezer, saved for the 4th.
