LITTLE HALLWEEN ALERT FOR FRIDAY 3/13/2020
Hi Folks:
This is just a friendly reminder that 'Little Halloween" which is on Friday March, 13th is less then two weeks away, so for those of you who would like to participate, it's a good time to start making your plans.
I played around with some ideas, but I decided on screening some of my 'haunted house' classics, such as "The Haunting," The Changeling" "Rose Red" and maybe a few tv documentaries about haunted places. If the weather is nice, I am going to grill bratwurst patties out on the grill, and if it's not nice out, then I am going to put the bratwurst in the broiler. I'll have Reeses Peanut Butter Cups in the ToT bucket, a plastic jack o'lantern out and lit, and in-between movies, some loud records. "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" will be screened over breakfast, and I'll also be playing the music from that tv show, as well as the music from John Carpenters "Halloween" and a couple of others that I have in my vinyl and CD collection.
To all of you who enjoy this weird 'out of season' celebration of our favorite day of the year, I wish you the very best of luck with your mini spook fest. So make sure the black cat is there to snuggle with, make sure your favorite monster movies are cued up in the DVD player or online streaming account, and there are plenty of Trick or Treats to munch. It's going to be a lot of fun, then Spring will begin just 6 days later on the 19th.

I recently found two interesting DVDs at Walmart the other day. "Halloween Jack" and "Clown Fear." I thought I would save those two for Friday the 13th, in addition to a few 'haunted house' flicks and records.

Lol; any movie with 'clown' in it is going to be scary!
I think the scary thing to do tomorrow would be to go out in public and cough.

Lol!
My son, daughter and I went to a Mexican restaurant on Monday. I told them we should enter coughing and sneezing. Of course, we didn't, but the thought made us laugh.

Re: LITTLE HALLWEEN ALERT FOR FRIDAY 3/13/2020
Happy belated 'Little Halloween' folks. I had a good time. I did manage to screen a few of my favs and that clown movie I spoke of. As it turned out, the clown movie was more a farce then a horror movie, but it had some great tunes in it.
At any rate, I ended up having poached cod for supper as it was a Lenten Friday, and it was quite good. I seasoned it with lemon pepper. I also screened "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" movie and played the record along with the "Halloween" record, and a newer selection titled All Hallows E P by a group known as A F I. It's a pretty hard rock & roll type of music that will be right at home in October.
At any rate, the next occurrence of "Little Halloween" won't be until November, so until then...…"try to enjoy the daylight." (I heard that some where before) Of course there will be plenty of fun to be had in the interim, with Spring and Summer being just around the corner.
Catch you all later.
