LITTLE HALLOWEEN ALERT

Hi Folks:

I did promise to post a thread when it got closer to "Little Halloween" so here it is. Friday September 13th is exactly 3 weeks from tomorrow, so this should allow all in-house culinary artists, like me, scary movie aficionados (again like me) to make plans, in observance. I already decided that I am going to do either corned beef in the crock pot, or a fresh brisket roast in the crock pot and screen some movies. I am even going to screen "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown," and put up something that I may find for sale at some of the local stores in the way of a Halloween decoration. I also plan to play some loud music by AC/DC and others.

I hope this is enough notice for everyone who decides to do "Little Halloween." The next time the 13th of the month is on a Friday for this year is in December, so we should do a "Creepmas" that day. I know I plan to. "Krampus," "Black Christmas" and a few others I have on DVD or can watch online will be on the screen that day, for sure. AND, I know that "Silent Night Deadly Night" had a lot of controversy when it was released to theatres, but I will probably screen that one, too.

On Dec 13, Nightmare before Christmas would be perfect.

'Rare Exports' really needs to be on your Christmas viewing list.

"Nightmare Before Christmas" is probably going to be one of those I'll have to watch online. I can't find a DVD or a Blue Ray of that one to save my life. I would love Rare Exports to be on my viewing list, too. Meanwhile, I am still compiling my movie and music list I am going to play for the upcoming September 'Little Halloween.'

Happy "Little Halloween"!

Mike, is your crock pot fired up? We'll all be over for a bite later on :D

Hope everybody has a good day today.

Well, I had a few business items I had to clear up today, so I made spaghetti and meat sauce instead. It was pretty good. I screened Halloween, the 1977 original, Friday the 13th, the original, and after I'm done here, I am going to screen Evilspeak, which is one of my personal favs from 1981.

I am also going to go out and check out the full moon. A full moon on Friday the 13th only happens once every 20 years, so I don't want to waist any of it. I will be up until after midnight as I don't want to miss a single minute as this is a very special "Little Halloween." I am playing Henry Mancini's "Experiment in Terror" album as I write this.

Anyway, I hope everyone else's "Little Halloween" is going as good as mine is.

Just a quick note, the next Friday the 13th for this year is December 13th. "Creepmas."

We were outside at the Nashville Shakespeare Festival. It was a very fun way to spend this special occasion.

We had all sorts of plans for this Friday the 13th, but then the full moon came out, and the next thing I knew I was waking up naked at the zoo, picking my teeth with a distal phalange. Luckily, my wife covered for me. She called my work and said I had diarrhea.

I actually got some nice pictures of the Friday the 13th Full Moon. Our next "Little Halloween" will be on December 13th. a.k.a. Creepmas.
