I caught some movie on Chiller TV the other night, can't remember the name. Had to do with a mysterious box some guy's father found, whoever controls it can kill people from afar. Someone stole the box and is killing all the guy's friend as he and his brother try to find out who's controlling it. There were a couple pretty gory scenes there.

I can't think of any. Gore doesn't do it for me. I like eerie, suspenseful stuff. Atmosphere, not gore.
