Re: Do you people hang out here all year?
I like hanging here year round, because I get all kinds of great ideas, and it's also nice to converse with like minded people, especialy whan "Little Halloween," or there's a Friday the 13th.

I love this idea of Little Halloween on a Friday the 13th. We've always watched a scary movie. Perhaps we will pull out some Jack O Lanterns and make it more festive!

Re: Do you people hang out here all year?
We were blessed with 3 Friday the 13ths this year. The last one was Friday July 13th. I usualy do put out one of my plastic jack o'lanterns, screen a scary movie and last July, I screened "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" on "Little Halloween" instead of my birthday, as during my Birthday for this year, I was on the road.
At any rate, I plan to keep that tradition alive, and next year we have two "Little Halloweens" comming. Friday September 13th, and Friday December 13th. I will post an official announcement come December or Januaty.

I'm here all year long, but for some strange reason, I'm not on here as much in October, I'm decorating and visiting people more in that month, crazy I know.

yes, i am here year-round, sometimes i go for a bit with out posting but I usually stop by everyday to read what looks interesting. I like that this is a small "community" I have been able to "get to know" people here (as much as you can on a forum I suppose) and it feels comfortable. If this site got too big I dont think I would bother sticking around.

I normally don't like censorship-- but I've cleaned all the politics and related comments out of this thread. Let's please get back on the thread's original topic and stay there.
If you'd like to discuss politics, there's actually a forum redirect which I encourage you to click on. With the elections happening so close to Halloween in the states, it's tough to talk Halloween and ignore politics-- but this is a HALLOWEEEN forum... not a political forum. Let's try to focus on our mutual love for such a wonderful holiday and set politics aside.
Thanks, guys! =)

But... but... but... what's scarier than politics? Thanks Jadewik.
I'm curious how many people here also spend time on the other forums. I've been poking my nose around a bit. Mostly because some of the links on Pinterest lead me back to them. Those sites seem to be a lot more active, hence harder to keep up on. Like Spooky basically said, this place is like a small bar, where everyone knows your name. Cue the music from Cheers!

The subject of politics is not scary. It's a pain in the festukus.
And this place is like the bar at "Cheers," only with a few interesting twists to it. It's the only plac where Halloween can be celebrated year round, which is why I'm here.
As for the actual month of October, I'm here more during that month, except on the actual day of Halloween itself, because I'm usualy busy handing out ToT candy, watching horror movies, catering to my nephew and his 3 children, and I end the day off with my Midnight Halloween Motorcycle Ride, profided the weather cooperates. If it's chilly, I go anyway, but if it's raining, then forget it. Last year it dipped down to 38 degrees when I hopped on the bike, but I still enjoyed it. There were all kinds of decorations out. I went to the Grotto where I go to pray the Rosary on ocassion. Lovely place during the day time, but creepy as all get-out when it's dark. I thought the Grotto would make for a great place to go on Halloween at the "Witching Hour." I froze my tookus off, but it was worth it.
