I haven't seen Zombie's 2nd Halloween, either. I don't think I will. So disappointed with the first attempt.
If you recommend it then I will be sure to watch it sometime soon :) . And you don't have to worry, I'm not a yelling type of person haha.
Hmm,
I just was thinking, MyersFan...that Rejects is a bit brutal. I'm usually not a fan of that type, but it's good.
One of those movies that when it's over, you kind of say 'whew, back with semi-normal people' when you walk outside. :lol:

Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!

Oh really? Yeah heavily brutal movies usually aren't my favorite, but I'll still give it a chance. I guess that's part of the reason I like Halloween so much, is because it relies on suspense more than gore. Suspense is what gets me going, gore just kind of grosses me out. But I do have Rejects in my netflix que so it should be coming some time this week. :)

I keep trying Rob Zombie flics, and it seems like each one is worse than the one before. I just don't think he's got the vision to be a great filmmaker, or even a good one. He accepts camp and cheese as a substitute for acting, over-uses gore and violence without achieving a powerful dramatic effect, and strikes me as trying desperately to be Tarantino-esque. His remake of Halloween was embarrassing to watch. He probably ought to have stuck to growling into a microphone set to death-metal chords. At least you kent where you were with that.

Yeah, suspense always wins it for me, MyersFan.
Just Zombie is so over the top, it's interesting to see where he'll go.

Nah you're right, MacPhantom. He can't touch Tarantino, but I stick with him for the trip.
He didn't turn me off until what he did with Halloween. We'll see what he can do...improve or fade.

Not that he turns me off, Belladonna; it's that nothing he does turns me on.

Boy, you know what? No matter how I try to explain it, that just flat out did not sound good. :shock: I'm just gonna turn around and walk away slowly.

Hmm. I wonder what other topics look interesting right now? I wonder who else has bought something cool I can go read about....
