I agree 100%

I'm the same way I'm a big 4th of July Firework type of guy I love Fireworks and this time of the year I'm stocking up on the good stuff ton of fireworks!!! I don't know what it is But between December-July its all About The Fireworks don't get me wrong nothing makes me more happy then Halloween and its my favorite holiday. But for some reason Usually around this Time the Halloween bug bites and I can't wait for it. But This year has been rough on me So hopefully after this month I will have better days ahead of me. I usually plan for the 4th and after Its overdrive until the final destination of Halloween. Don't get me wrong right now I'm thinking about what I can do this year but when the weather turns right cool and crisp you get that certain feeling fall of the year. That's when I really like it. But August-October is all Halloween. Really late September and all of October is my Favorite the decorations goes up. And hopefully Halloween movies come on. Unlike last year cough dumb stupid election cough cough that pretty much ruined last years Halloween. Which if you dig in the archives you'll find many write ups I did about the stupid election taking over Halloween. Plus the reason I haven't been on isn't because my heart isn't with Halloween Its cause I have been working and my computer crashed and I had to get a new one. But Halloween is really sad when its over but now is the most exciting time.

I can't believe the fourth of july is coming up really fast. Septmember is the pre holidays mode section for me because by then I see christmas, halloween, and fall and thanksgiving.

What gets to me is that by early October, Christmas stuff is already starting to show up in stores. By the time Halloween rolls around, you're lucky if you can walk into Walmart without being greeted by a giant inflatable Santa Claus. Halloween stuff being put out early doesn't step on the toes of any other holiday, but seeing Christmas decorations before Oct 31 can be a real buzz kill.

No worries people will start coming back on the board in a few months. As soon as summer starts dwindling down, and the leaves change colors, most of the members will return and hopefully new members will join. Some people just need a break from Halloween (which i don't understand, but to each his own), or are very busy in the spring and summer months. For example i recently moved into a new house and it took me FOREVER to get my computer running again after several problems arose, but i'm back on the board and look forward to posting more!

You sound like me.
I'll start looking around the middle of next month.
Usually Big Lots and the dollar stores are the first to get their stuff out.

Yeah, I've heard they get stuff out pretty early. Unfortunately, we don't have one of those near us. I live near a relatively small town in southern Indiana (Madison), so I have to drive nearly forty miles to find anything like that. We do have a warehouse that sells nothing but Halloween stuff, but it doesn't open until September. Believe it or not, Walgreens is becoming my favorite place to find decorations. They really go all out.

Our local drug store chain (Long's) was bought out by CVS.

Long's were getting into the spirit over the last few Halloweens...CVS better follow suit or I'll be sorely disappointed!

I was on my motorcycle. I ws on Crawford Avenue around 159th street, and I KID YOU NOT, there was a huge store selling Christmas decorations, manjer scenes, ornaments, strings of lights, artificial Christmas trees, and it was all dirt cheap. But not one Halloween item.

Right next tot hem was a tent selling Illinois legal fireworks.

I don't see any Christmas merchandise at any stores, but Halloween merchandises only. Of course, some do sell fireworks. I already bought some fireworks yesterday, and a friend of mine gave me some fireworks too. I had to save them on 4th of July. :D
