They do have a permanent hole in them, but they definitely don't look like a shoe string. lol They shrink to the point that it pretty much looks exactly like my normal lobes, but they have a perfectly circular hole in them a little smaller than a AA battery. With the exception of the hole, the rest of it looks completely normal. There's no twisting or anything of the sort. Maybe in the morning I'll post a picture of what it looks like without.
