I just visited your website for the first time spooky. Good how tos but wow is that page straight out of the 90s. Which makes sense since you haven't updated it since 1999. But wow best viewed with Netscape, download AIM so full of nostalgia right now.

I'm a young guy, myself, but wow, its just mind blowing to me that websites can trigger nostalgia (which Spooky's definitely did)...its crazy the interwebz have even been around as long as they have. It's just weird to think I was surfing the web ~20 years ago.

I always wondered who made those gifs so many Halloween websites use.

As though it were a slightly sour sweet.

It's definitely a good site with good information just a little visually outdated.

I wasnt putting it down or anything. I've just always wondered about the gifs of spinning skulls and skeletons rising from their coffins and dripping blood banners, they're on just about every old Halloween site. Who made them and how? Is it legal having them copied around or is it stealing from the artist\artists? I'm sure I sound pretty dumb here but I really am curious.

I havent taken offense to anything here. It is an old site and I never updated it, never felt the need to, but it gets a lot of traffic around Halloween still and I sometimes still get emails from people visiting the site.

I dont know who made those gifs RDM, they were shared quite a bit and that was before everyone was up in arms about copyright infringement, it was pretty much "here share it" and no one cared then.

Glad you didn't get offended as that certainly wasn't my intent. I love the site how it is.

Anything glittery, shiny, cute. I love paper, halloween themed of course. Anything scrapbooking. Like vintage stuff and DIY, type of crafts. I also sew and crochet. I like to scrapbook, so stickers, paper, stamps etc. Hope this helps. :)

I don't care for gory Halloween, stuff.

Likes: Scarecrows (obviously :) ), Ravens/crows, witches, werewolves (I try to add a new one every year. I prefer the more wolf-looking ones to the more wolfman, Lon Chaney style), Jack-o-Lanterns, and black cats. Also reaper figures.
Dislikes: I not really fond of gore or zombies.

I hope this is helpful. ;)
We're the farmer's scarecrows
We scare away the birds,
We keep the farmer's corn safe
Without any words.
But when Halloween comes
We jump out of the ground
And we scare the boys and girls
When they come walking 'round.

Trust me, Spooky Doesn't offend easily.

I've been trying for years.

I like traditional halloween; ghosts spirits graveyards, jack o lanterns, black cats.

No horror or gore.

Likes: black cats, skulls, glittery things. In all honesty, I will really be sitting Halloween out this year because of my due date. So no decorations and not a lot of festivities going on at my house. Any small fun little thing to get me in the mood would be enjoyed. I love the little things TJ Maxx and Marshalls put out every year. Or even Halloween trinkets for the baby would be fun too. A little hat or bib perhaps? I'm HOPING he comes before Halloween because I seriously do not want to roll into November as a fat cow.

Dislikes: Gore, bloody things. Please do not send things that melt as I live in Florida and it would be ruined before it reached my house. And I have more candles than I know what to do with. So no food, no candles, no blood or gore.
I've met The Great Pumpkin.
