Lol. I guess, like today, they were thinking some people would give parties.
I imagine most of those ads showed up in print, women's magazines, etc. I wasn't reading those things in those days, so I likely didn't see them. I was more likely to see tv ads.
I think it would be fun to get cake frosting as a treat, I guess in those days it would have been in packets instead of the Betty Crocker cans that I grew up with, I used to eat frosting straight from the can when I was a kid, but I couldn't do that today because the levels of sugar would kill me.
