Halloween Music that you will play during the Holiday?

Post by Halloweennut08 » Thu Sep 24, 2009 2:45 am

What songs remind really remind you of Halloween???
You'll think I'm nuts but here is mine

Rhiana- Disturbia
Evanescence- Haunting, going under, Tourniquet
Midnight Syndicate: basically all their songs
Skillet: Monster
Rev Theory: Voices
and the Saw , Halloween, Friday the 13th, Scream sound Tracks.

Just curious since were about to break the one month barrier what music will you be listening to to get you in the mood for Halloween??

Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!

Warren Zevon's "Werewolves of London", The Creepshow's "Zombies Ate Her Brain", Pink Floyd's "Careful With That Axe, Eugene", the overture to the musical The Phantom of the Opera (really, any of the songs from POTO), "Alive" from the musical Jekyll & Hyde (and, again, any of the songs from J&H), almost anything from Danny Elfman. In my Halloween graveyard, I used to play Midnight Syndicate cds, but then my brother lent me his cd of the soundtrack to the movie "Creepshow", and let me tell you, sometimes, sitting in the dark behind the bushes, waiting for trick-or-treaters, that soundtrack even freaks ME out!!

Bauhaus - Bela Lugosi's Dead
Not sure who does it, but - Little Red Riding Hood
Warren Zevon - Werewolves of London

Not a big MJ fan, but - Thriller
The soundtrack for Queen of the Damned

Too many to list!

Oh yeah,
Vivaldi's Autumn and Winter...both good!

Also love Manson's This is Halloween.

Poe - Haunted
Monster Mash
Pretty much anything by Black Sabbath, too. N.I.B. is a great scary one..the thunderstorm in the background and Ozzy screaming "oh noooooooo!!" Perfect mood.

Zepplin's Dazed and Confuzed is a pretty good party favorite of ours

Basically all the classic movie theme songs. Nothing is better than those in my opinion.

Definitely the classic movie songs!

The spacey sound of Forbidden Planet
Of course the soundtrack to Halloween...that music can still give me chills!

Several Alice Cooper cds. Especially Killer, Welcome To My Nightmare, The Last Temptation and Brutal Planet. I also listen to Van Helsing's Curse, a side project by Dee Snider of Twisted Sister fame. I also have a cd that has the original muscial themes from several horror movies. I usually listen to one a day while at work and work through the list. Sometimes I will also listen to Trans-Siberian Orchestra's Beethoven's Last Night. It is an album that tells the story of Beethoven on the last night of his life when he is presented an offer from the devil.
There are a thousand hacking at the branches of evil to one who is striking at the root.

How could I have forgotten Thriller?!?!?

Darkness falls across the land
The midnight hour is close at hand
Creatures crawl in search of blood
To terrorize your neighborhood
And who so-ever shall be found
Without the soul for getting down
Must stand and face the hounds of hell
And rot inside a corpse's shell
The foulest stench is in the air
The funk of forty thousand years
And grizzly ghouls from every tomb
Are closing in to seal your doom
And though you fight to stay alive
Your body starts to shiver
For no mere mortal can resist
The evil of.....
THE THRILLER!!!
AHHH HA HA HA HA HA
AAAAHHHH HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!!!!
