Halloween Anti-Theft Sign!

Post by OktoberFest » Tue Sep 15, 2009 11:28 pm

My best buddy "iHaunt" got a good question from someone on other horror forums about this one.

He asked me, "Where can I find a good sign of Halloween anti-theft sign for my own home haunt?" And, I suggested him "How about a sign with a picture of a shotgun with the phrase: I don't call the police! LOL

Luckily for me, I live in the country where everyone is, shall we say, well armed. If you want to steal from somebody around here, you better make sure neither them or their neighbors are home. Otherwise you're liable to end up with a twelve gauge enema...

Yeah, I'm quite sure it would be.
That's why people around here know better than to put their mitts on someone elses property...
I put out a bunch of decorations in my yard every Halloween season beginning in early October, and I've got some expensive stuff, too.
Yet not once has anybody messed with it.

Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!

Amen to that ElMuerto. That's why we don't put anything up until Halloween and we're out there with it all that night. About 9 PM everything but the cornstalks gets put in the garage before we go to bed.

but i can imagine how frusterating it must be!

A shotgun is the best theft deterrent around, no joke. I wouldn't enjoy shooting anyone, but my property is more important than the life of someone that would try to take it. I know some may disagree with that but that's how I feel. Especially if they dare try to take any of Halloween stuff

I'm not sure If I'd be able to bring myself to actually shoot someone who I caught trying to steal my Halloween decorations, but the beauty of it is, they don't know that. Like I said earlier, where I live everybody is armed. Therefore you'd have to be a whole new kind of stupid to risk your life over a dumb prank like vandalizing Halloween decorations.

If anything I'd shoot off a warning shot or two. Maybe as I run towards them at full speed, screaming. I figure if they see a crazy guy with a shotgun coming at them it'll traumatize them enough. It'd be the best Halloween scare ever.

If thieves are around on Halloween nite at my place trying to look around, maybe trying to take some of my haunt props, even if I catch them and I would blast my shotgun up in the air to scare them off!

But, if I didn't see who did this.... I would have to dial 911 to report the police and tell them about the missing props.
