In reality, for most of us the Big Day is even sooner.

There are 65 days until the 31st, but Halloween junkies like us start celebrating on Oct. 1st at the very latest.

So really, there are only 34 days left until we're in the thick of it!

You know, it makes me feel better to say 34 days!

That's how I look at it, too. Halloween is not just one day in October, it's the whole month of October. On the had fo that, I am going to be doing all kinds of celebrating through out th ENTIRE month of October, and 2 days into November.

AND, let's not forget "Little Halloween" on FRIDAY November 13th.

that's right :) i've already told some freinds about it and they think little halloween is a great idea :) i can't wait to start a new tradition around here :)
Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!

Especially a Friday the 13th in October. How often does that happen?

Very rare indeed. The next Friday the 13th in October will be on October 13, 2017.

For your information about "Little Halloween" on Friday The 13th isn't always in October.... it can be anytime all year round, for instance, Friday The 13th on November 2009 is still Little Halloween.

Please ask Pumpkin_Man because he does knows more than I do. ;) So tell me pumpkinman that if we do have some "Little Halloween" in 2010? Which month?

I think I can answer that question for you iHuant. Little Halloween in 2010 is on August 13.

MyersFan1 is correct. The only "Little Halloween" in 2010 is in August. Friday August 13th. But the good news is that since so many of us are already making Halloween purchases and plans anyway, it's one of the better months to have it.

Also, MyersFan1 is correct about the next occurence of October 13th falling on a Friday is not until 2017. BUT, when October 13th falls on a Friday, there's nothing "little" about it. I consider that one of those truely rare years we have two Halloweens.

Thanks okay...My boyfriend thinks I'm nuts since I'm already planning my halloween costume :P But then that day (two weeks ago) we were out for a drive and I spotted a house that was already FULLY decorated for Halloween. I mean the whole shabang only excluding the pumpkins which were growing in a 2 acre field beside the house. So I looked at him and pointed out that I wasn't the only one excited for halloween :P

Eh??? Only one Little Halloween in August 2010 on Friday The 13th?? Well, I wish we all would love to have a few Little Halloween Days for the year of 2010. :)

So, pumpkinman.... how about 2011? I'd like to know, and please share with all of us here! Thanks. ;)

Not to be answering the questions for pumpkinman or anything but the little Halloween in 2011 is on May 13th. That's kind of neat because May is just about the halfway point between Halloweens.
