I agree completely Tantraman. A major part of the story was the Michael was pure evil and for no legitimate reason. Loomis makes a point of saying he is so evil that he is "not a man". That is what sends chills up your spine and brings about primortal fear. The whole white trash, abused as a kid, politically correct reason for all badness in the world <deleted> is a real let down. Oh well!

I hear what you're saying. Does Zombie want us to feel sorry for Meyers? It seems like a confused decision, how does making the Meyers home a Jerry Springer episode make him scary?

How often is Sheri Moon Zombie's character in the movie? From the work she did in The Devil's Rejects she looks like a VERY bad actress and I'm assuming she is the person that a few people on here are talking about like when someone said something about she can't act her way out of a paper bag.

When I first heard the movie was being remade by Rod Zombie I was excited because for the most part I like his work the only thing I don't like is his wife and when she is trying to act it ruins the movie. I just want to know before hand how often she's in it.

She's there for quite a while. But she's better than the girl who played her oldest daughter, that's for sure.

For those of you that didn't like the movie, do you think it would of been better if the actors were better? Or would you still not of liked it for whatever reason?

Personally, I think the problem started with the idea for the story, and got cemented in the script.

You should just go and pay to see it if you want to see it. I don't even think that's even the finished version anyway.

Most likely I will wait until it comes out on DVD -hubby doesnt want to go with me bc he doesnt like horror films so I would be going alone and I am kind of a chicken too!

Rob Zombie totally missed it. Two thumbs down.

well Haunter and i went and seen the movie last weekend. I thought that it was ok, i am a fan of the original i almost have to be living with Haunter. I did like in the beginning how it explain about everything that had happened to michael when he was a child and thats why he did the things that he did! Other than that i strongly suggest that you dont take some one little to see this movie Rob Zombie is known for his movies having alot of <deleted> scenes. And did anyone catch the girl that plays Annie in the new movie was the same girl that played Jamie in the originals!

I finally saw this movie yesterday. My comments to date were based on information I read on this website and discussions with friends. I must say, that I almost got up and left the theatre. The acting was horrible. There was no suspense. There were too many killings. Too much gore and blood. As a big fan of the original I was not only disappointing but angered that a generation of young viewers will think this is "Halloween". What a shame. Rob Zombie should go back to doing what he does best, make music. This movie was an abomination. TWO BIG MAJOR THUMBS DOWN!
Because once you cross that bridge, my friend, the ghost is through, his power ends.
