Mine was an absolute blast! This year I got the chance to go to quite a few haunted houses with some friends and family, so I would say that was probably the highlight of it. I'm kind of a haunted house nerd. For some reason they just totally signify to me that Halloween season is here. By the way, if you enjoy haunted houses and you're ever in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, you have visit cutting edge haunted house. Best one I've every been to and it's the world record holder for largest walk through haunted house. I'll post a link at the bottom. We also went to one called the haunt house which was pretty solid as well. Anyways, I got the chance to carve a few pumpkins, and of course went in and out of stores throughout the season that have halloween merchandise for sale. I can't believe the Halloween 2013 season has already come and gone, but I know the next year will be here before we know it. How about you?

Re: How was everyones Halloween/Halloween season?
Had lots of fun with friends, and a record breaking TOT visits this year. We've torn the Halloween display down this weekend, and are in the process of getting everything put back in the attic. It's kinda like the calm after the storm!

We had a delayed Halloween TOT due to storms, but had fun on Friday, with record nos. of TOTers at our house, too.
I didn't do as many things in the run up to Halloween as I often do. It seemed to me as if there were lots of time, and then suddenly, no time. I have enjoyed the season, though. My husband and teenage daughter are kind of getting into the yard haunt idea. I think we may expand on that next year.

Oh, I'm sorry that some of our most devoted Halloween fans didn't enjoy theirs as much as usual.
I've had bigger Halloweens, and certainly the storm on Halloween night didn't help matters much. However, we had a good TOT on the 1rst, and our Trunk or Treat at church on Nov. 3 was a nice way to conclude the weekend.

In some aspects, this year was better than most. In others, it wasn't. I was able to watch so many movies since I am home most of the time. But I wasn't able to go the farm with a haunted corn maze and a haunted woods that I have gone to the last four years prior, due to not having any money.

That's the sort of thing I missed out on, too, Boogeyman. I could probably have afforded to do at least one haunted attraction, but my family's schedule didn't seem conducive to it this year.
OTOH, like you, I enjoyed a great number of Halloween-themed DVDs. In fact, I didn't even make it through my collection, which has gotten quite large now! And I have so many decorations saved from over the years that I was able to trim the house & yard with minimal expense. I think that next year, that may be where our $$ will go. Both my husband and daughter seemed to get a kick out of the yard haunt this year.
